I love this thing...It will handle any big lens and is good for taking panos...there are others that cost a lot more that work the same as this...being able to raise and lower the thing that the lens sits on to get the lens centered with the top knob is an essential for balance of your rig and getting the nodal point right

Used with a Canon 70D and a Sigma 120-400. I had to draw a good number because the quality of the whole is correct, that the movements are rather fluids and that the brakes brake what is necessary (it is necessary of course to correctly adjust the position of the apparatus so that the center of gravity of the camera + lens assembly is roughly the same as the horizontal axis of rotation). Of course, it will be necessary to see the duration. I am still looking for what the compass and the bubble level integrated in the brake and clamping wheels of the plate serve, as they are not in a usable position when the head is in its normal position. For panoramas (short focal length lens, therefore without a foot collar), there is no way to attach a case in a vertical position in an L-shaped cage, without adding an additional Arca-swiss plate + clamp.

I notice a lack of stiffness compared to other models. Nor do I like it too much that the thread that controls the horizontal axis, the swingarm, is a thread of only half a turn, since it cannot be adjusted. Or you leave it tight or completely loose. The best is the price, which compared to other models is much lower. And it does its job.

It is the second that I bought and I have noticed it worse finished than the previous one, the controls do not go smoothly and the rubber of the screw that tightens the shoe turns on the metal when it is strong. It fulfills its function and is remarkably cheaper than similar models but If I knew I would go for a slightly better model.

I will start by saying something in favor of this product, and that is that my assessment is more to inform than to despise or discredit the product. That said, and summarizing that the product seems well built and with good materials without having done any field test, I warn all those who want to dedicate themselves to 360º panoramic photography, to refrain from buying it because it does not meet the minimum requirements to guarantee a job with reliable and favorable results. It is impossible to center the nodal point of the lens and in its vertical mode it has no blockage, with which, I think its use is specific as GImbal and little else. Obviously I had to return it.

It is basically a gimbal for large telephoto lenses that fulfills what it promises, but without asking for anything more than that. It is quite heavy and the axes of rotation are a bit rough. The rubberized finish that covers the metal body ... I don't know what will last but there are areas where you can move it with hardly any force passing your fingers. In short, if you need a gimbal that does not reach 3 figures in the price, it may be worth it, but it is not professional at all.

I had recommended the product a professional surf photographer. Ball joint in perfect condition, it has a certain inclination that there is no problem with the level of the camera and correcting with the telephoto ring. Smooth horizontal turn, the vertical goes somewhat harder and the thread of this block has little travel, already known these things by previous comments. The use that I am going to give is an amateur and occasional, so very happy with the acquisition, telling that the other option was an offer of another brand but for € 290. VERY RECOMMENDED.

Received today it's fine, dropping it a star because of metal shearing where the thread for the lower screw was made. The construction seems pretty solid, looks like the real cost saving they made was in the bearings and the washer system seems to work well enough. The swing arm might be a little stiff I may have lubricate it some but it gives a comfortable resistance to movement as it is.

for the price this is a good product. The movement is not as smooth as the more expensive gimbal heads and its a shame that what looks like a locking device for the swinging gimbal arm is in fact merely an embellishment and has no function but that apart it does what I want at a price I can afford
