I bought this radio 4 years ago for my rc airplanes that I build, Every summer I use this radio for my planes, this controller has been through hell and back. I accidentally burst a spray paint can once, and the whole controller got covered, and it stilled worked. I have dropped it multiple times, and it still works. I even snapped the antenna in half, but with a little bit of tape, it still works. This controller is the only part of mine that has not failed me for over 4 years. 🙏🏾 thank you GoolRC.

Team building robot from scrap and motor parts, used this controller through a Sabertooth Dual 12A Motor Driver. The 12V dual drill motors provided an excellent torque and adequate speed to push wood pallet and 15Lbs around 10 minutes. Easy to assign pin and directional control. Only con in this application is the left joy stick has no auto return and so will continue power until manually returned to neutral position.

Inexpensive and functional 2.4 ghz 6ch controller. I have not yet fully tested out the range on this but I have gone about 70 yards or so without issue. Have set this up on 2 quad copters and at least the Tx/Rx have been reliable. Only complaint I have is that I wish it had 3-way switches or at least let you mix 2 switches for ch5 and the other 2 switches for ch6. As is you can only mix the switches for ch5 and ch6 together. The other 2 switches and the 2 pots (vra and vrb) are there just for looks.

While it has excellent user interface (good, intuitive menus, backlit, nice rolling curser) but its signal strength isn't great. I have reception issues at around 500ft, at which point controls lock intermittently. It works fine for slower parkfliers or micro quads, but I wouldn't trust it for anything else. Good starter radio but little room to grow with.

Honestly, for the price it's a great tx. I don't have a lot of budget for my R/C hobby, so this fit my needs splendidly. It has all the mixing I've needed so far and works good. The buttons feel a little cheap and the mixing can be a little weird, so if you're put off by cheap buttons or don't have the patience to figure out confusing menus and quirks, then I might think twice. Why did I buy it? Cheap, I could get it fast from Amazon, fairly solid reviews. Would I buy it again? If my budget was the same... Yes. If I had more money I would like to try one with more channels and mixing capabilities, like a taranis.
