Inexpensive and functional 2.4 ghz 6ch controller. I have not yet fully tested out the range on this but I have gone about 70 yards or so without issue. Have set this up on 2 quad copters and at least the Tx/Rx have been reliable. Only complaint I have is that I wish it had 3-way switches or at least let you mix 2 switches for ch5 and the other 2 switches for ch6. As is you can only mix the switches for ch5 and ch6 together. The other 2 switches and the 2 pots (vra and vrb) are there just for looks.

Honestly, for the price it's a great tx. I don't have a lot of budget for my R/C hobby, so this fit my needs splendidly. It has all the mixing I've needed so far and works good. The buttons feel a little cheap and the mixing can be a little weird, so if you're put off by cheap buttons or don't have the patience to figure out confusing menus and quirks, then I might think twice. Why did I buy it? Cheap, I could get it fast from Amazon, fairly solid reviews. Would I buy it again? If my budget was the same... Yes. If I had more money I would like to try one with more channels and mixing capabilities, like a taranis.

This transmitter is a great first park flyer radio and came at a fairly low price for being computerized and having all of its different functions. The downside I found with it was that the range was just good enough for a small park, there fore it being a good park flyer radio. At about 600 ft. I would get somewhat large brown-outs and losses of signal even flying line of sight with no barriers, and having a full battery. I grew out of it in about 2 months of very frequent flying because I needed more range capability. I moved to the Turnigy 9x which is also a great option for a beginner radio but the Turnigy 9x has much more room for upgrade and modification to suit the more advanced pilot as well as a beginner pilot. Overall, pretty good park flier transmitter.

I am not an expert at programming RC transmitters by any means and I don't own any airplanes, only helicopters and quad-copters but I own a DX6i and have programmed a few birds into it. I purchased this a couple of years ago because it looked like a good radio for the price. I did program this for a V911 helicopter and found that it was flying so well that it seemed like a totally different heli. It was so rock-solid stable that I was able to fly in very small areas. The lighted LCD is a nice feature usually found on more expensive radios. I have recently ordered a lanyard and soft case for this to take it to the parks to fly the V911 and anything else that it will support. A great radio for the price.

It works okay for the money.Has all the standard functions of the big boys. I've noticed a couple of odd things with my box.Duel rates have two different trim settings.Adjust for trim on low rate and kick over to high rate and my planes need re-trimming.Re-trimming again when going back to low rates. Pay attention to every setting in the box before your first flight.Confirm things like mixing that don't need to be on are in fact off. Another programming issue I found, for some reason when I went to setup a 3rd model on this radio, the duel rate switch was set to "Switch B. Quirks like that in another setting could spell disaster. Check ALL settings for each model you add. The last thing I notice is just a slight lag when flying 3D but is overcome with a bit of pilot adjustment to the new box. For the price, it's a good box and a great buy. For a newbie, this box will do you well. This from a flyer who built his first box from an old dial telephone. :) Enjoy.

Great upgrade if you are like me and binding to WLTOYS v911 helicopters. the heli flys so much better with this controller over the WLToys stock toy grade transmitter. Lots of good opportunity for fine tuning. Very similar feel to my more expensive DX6i but the FS-T6 has the added bonus of a back-lit LCD display. that is a huge plus when you are used to struggling without a back-light on the DX6i. Dropping one star for 2 minor drawbacks: lack of a built in timer, and it needs 8 AA batteries while most on the market now use more efficient electronics and only need 4 AA. Still, great transmitter. I haven't used the included receiver yet, only bind and fly with my heli so this review is for transmitter only. If you want to get the most out of your v91x helis, I would strongly recommend this transmitter. Lots of bang for your buck!

Received unit last night, installed receiver into airplane and we are ready to go. Easy to navigate menu right on the controller. I have not yet checked the range. Unit does not have a manual in the box, but it was easy to locate online. I am new to RC, and the set-up took only 20 minutes from opening box, to setting trim. Will do a range check then take it to the airstrip this weekend.

Came w/ no instructions, went on YouTube and found an instructional video on "pairing and setup" and followed the instructions, and somehow my receiver shorted out and blew up in smoke... Don't get me wrong I love the transmitter, but either I'm horrible with electronics or that receiver had a big problem.
