I love the quality of the video produced after using this device. My only complaint is that the little motors are noisy to the camera and you can hear them on play back.The noise doesn't matter for noisy scenes or edited music videos, but it is a little annoying for soft audio video. Overall, it is incredible technology and people are so fascinated when they see it.

Wow! This is VERY impressive. It's almost a little eery how it tracks and controls the camera! It's expensive, so I was taking a chance when I bought it, but I'm glad I did. In the past I've made a few handheld GoPro videos and they were hard to watch. Blare Witch hard to watch. This gimbal fixes that and opens up a whole new world of hand held videos. In fact I'm working on a vehicle mount to hold it for car and bike shots, just to get the smooth tracking it excels at. I've had no problems with setting or adjusting. There is some software updates that need to be done, but there are videos online that hlp with it. Also, if you follow the instructions STEP-BY-STEP, it goes pretty easy. Once done, this thing is so eerily accurate that it seems like it's haunted by some old Hollywood cinematographer. This gimbal makes you look good and opens up a lot of different things you can do. Yes, it's expensive, but it's worth every cent if you need to do anything handheld with your GoPro!

Excellent product if you already have a GoPro. Easy to use and is very stable. Makes footage SO much better than a regular selfie-stick type product. Batteries last a long time (almost 2x as long as the OSMO I was bought for Christmas) AND you get 2 sets! I bought a 3rd set which I haven't even opened yet. Never needed to. Highly recommended.

Pretty amazing steady cam and fills one of the main weaknesses of the GoPro. Very intuative to pan left and right with intelligence to not do so too quickly. Always keeps the horizon flat giving videos a professional feeling. Even when running the final results are amazingly smooth. Packs down quite nicely and bought a plastic travel box to protect it although it seems quite robust. Installing the firmware was a bit tricky. There are many instructions on youtube but the misleading trick is to only insert the USB adaptor without the cable and gopro which is not clear since since they show the screen and not the whole setup. Once you do that it is quite easy. Did all the work to find out my product was already at 1.13 firmware so it was actually sent with up-to-date firmware.

I bought this a little over a month ago to use with my gopro hero 4. I am a wedding videographer and I used this to capture some "wrap-around" shots of the bride and groom standing by a fountain. It instantly blasted the production quality of my video sky high! This single piece of equipment has taken my videos to a whole, new level. It is rock steady. The first time I showed some of the footage to my daughter - she asked if I had the camera on tracks! Stunning, instant production quality as good as any stedi-cam. And for under 300 bucks? Come on... BUY IT!

I was able to get my hands on one of these last winter, and it was amazing! I shoot a ton of video while skiing, and this makes everything incredibly smooth (through the bumps, park, trees, groomers, etc.). The battery life is incredible (a coupe of days if your diligent about turning it off). The two big downfalls I found with it were that there's no good way to protect your go pro while using the device, and the update/calibration software was garbage. I'm hoping that's been fixed in the past year, as I will be picking one up shortly. I read a review or two stating that upside down shots are difficult of not impossible. This is not true. It takes a bit of time to get used to exactly how the device moves, but it easily let's you shoot with the camera inverted. Remember that you can always change the camera settings so that the shooting orientation changes, or just take care of it in editing.

I was very skeptical about buying this and when it arrived I realized I ordered the wrong one but decided to keep it. The battery life on this is amazing. I look it up on youtube and found the videos to be somewhat inaccurate. The camera stabilizes quick upon activation. The footage looks amazingly stable and there is no shakiness of any kind. Definitely going to buy another one.

I purchased this Gimbal for my husband for his GoPro. I don't use the device because I get yelled at as the wife who is doing it wrong - hahaha! The specks or technical or button options I don't know anything about, unfortunately. All I do is see the quality of the video after using the Gimbal for the GoPro and I love what he captures. For instance, we put our toddler on the skateboard and my husband pushed our kiddo while I ran next to them and the video wasn't shaking and completely steady the entire time. It's a great video clip that will forever be cherished by us of our baby.

One of my favorite purchases. Excellent packaging and buid quality. Was a little confusing updating the firmware and I still need to adjust the pitch which seems to roll slightly to the left or counter clockwise. But I am sure I can adjust this. Just haven't gotten around to doing it at the time of this review. I love how easy to use the different modes are once you learn how to use them. I also purchased the wired remote for pan and tilt which will be super beneficial once I get the extension pole that I am ordering for it now. I think this is the best steady cam gimbal you can buy for Go Pro, especially at this price. I originally was looking into the DJI Osmo but already have a GoPro and don't want to be stuck with DJI's camera forever. Don't get me wrong, DJI makes a great camera but in time, GoPro may have something even better and betting able to use this in the future is important to me.

The gimbal is an incredible gadget that makes videos worthwile. Action cams with their wide-angle lenses are much better than standard video cams anyway, but together with the gimbal the videos look almost professional, even if they were actually recorded while carrying loads of stuff on a sandy beach. After a couple of days the camera started to tilt to the left though and the procedure to re-calibrate is not easily done as you need the USB adapter (included, but you have to have it with you) and install two additional programs. Now, since that is already done I guess the next times I will need to calibrate are going to be easier. Overall I would say that I really love what the gimbal can do, but it is not 100% user friendly. But at the given price there has to be a downside and in this case, the downside is an acceptable one that does not influence your primary goal, the video.

They failed to tell me it didn't come with batteries! they offered to reimburse me for the cost of the batteries it was the inconvenience. I ended up having to overnight batteries for an event that I needed them for which ended up costing me more money. The product it's self is amazing. Worth every penny just make sure you get batteries!

went thru 2 other handheld gimbals before coming to this brand and version. this is by far the best version/model to get. stay away from other brands or ones that come with screens. I have mines custom built with a clamp with a monitor attached it. I have a ribbon cable that connects the cable to the monitor and it doesn't interfere with the gimbal movement at all. other additional accessories I have gotten was the extended telescoping pole with extended handle so I can run 2 18650 batteries that lasts for hours. this also does help with keeping the gopro charged longer.

This things is truly amazing. I've been using it about a month now. My videos on my GoPro Hero 4 Black have never looked better. I've been flying stabilized on my drone now for over a year and really wanted to step up my handheld shots as well. This really did the trick. The price tag was a little steep, but now I'm glad I picked it up. I'm going skiing with it next week and I'll update my review to let you know how it went. Cons: Price. OUCH. Firmware updates are Windows only (had to break out my old windows laptop for the first time in years). It's takes some practice to get all the shots you want, and to switch between modes. After a few hours of figuring it out, I'm good now. I don't like the battery setup. I wish they would have done a single Lithium Ion instead of the 3 rechargeable lithium CR123s. It’s difficult to safely transport it. I’ve just been keeping it in the original box, but it’s kind of big. Fifteen sec boot-up times make it hard to quickly capture action. Pros: Super pro looking videos. 3 cool modes. Firmware updates always coming out making things better. Pretty decent battery life.

It used to be that 'steadycams' were for professionals only. A gyro stabilizer can set you back over $5000 and the balanced steadycam mounts about half that. Enter microprocessors, acceleration sensors, and rare earth brushless motors and you can get the same functionality for a few hundred dollars - truly amazing. One word of warning, the model numbers are really confusing so go to the Feiyu website and make sure you are getting the model you think you are. I nearly ordered a mount for Sony cameras by mistake. No more making your viewers seasick, even with the bounciest ride, the video produced is silky smooth. Another warning, this is for Windows only and I am an Apple person but this is only a problem if you want to update the firmware which I do not recommend anyway because the instructions are incomprehensible. No biggie, the stabilizer works out of the box. The user manual is just as incomprehensible so let me give you a readers digest version. Take batteries out and charge with USB charging block. Install batteries. Push power button at end of handle. Film. There are different modes as well by pushing the button on the SIDE of the handle differing numbers of times, just play with it and see what it does when you push it once, twice, three times, etc.

The Feiyu made a lot of difference in my filming! I am happy with it, but it does seem to be fragile. I like that it was packaged good, because I have had to use the package as a case to carry it around. The handle is a little short for filming low (and I am short). The extensions would be good if you plan to shoot lower than you want to bend over. I didn't care for the clicking you can hear when trying to move the axis to different positions. I found that I would have to stop videoing in between and move it to the desired spot before recording again. If you click it smoothly as possible, you can still pick up some noise in the video. Overall, I am happy that I can watch my videos without feeling like I am going to throw-up from all the movements and shakiness! lol

As a gimbal it seems to do it's job. it is somewhat limited in it's range, with the camera and tilt motor hitting the pan motor when you hold it certain ways. but my only real complaint is that the QD aspect of it isn't really so quick. i haven't tried the regular mount version, but i find it quite awkward to get the camera in, and once it is, you can't access the settings button on the side. also, every time i do get the camera in it hits the record button on the top. these are just minor issues that make me wonder if it's worth the extra money on top of the regular one. but overall the gimbal is amazeballs.
