The N at the end of the description signifies Nikon mount, if you have an adaptor yes it will mount, but as it ships it will not fit you E mount for Sony.

There was a firmware update since I owned the lens, that has significantly improved according to online forums. That being said the lens will auto focus with your 3000 regardless, and it is a value as long as “live-view” video or photo is not your intended shooting mode. The sharpness of the 50mm it's very good and the quality of the image it`s better for this focal distance in my opinion.

I was skeptical of buying a lens this cheap new. Thankfully the the lens was a big surprise. At about a third of the price of an equivalent Nikon lens It is very close to image quality of the Nikon AF-S in some circumstances better. The one thing I see that Nikon does better is the auto-focus. The Yongnuo is a bit slower than the Nikon so if your shooting fast action you might want to pay the extra money for the Nikon. Other than that the Yongnuo is a remarkable lens. There is no image stabilization but I haven't found this to be a problem at all with a short lens like this. I bought this lens mainly to shoot close ups with macro extension tubes as you see the results are impressive especially for the price. I think you will be pleasantly surprised to. Let me know what you think.

I purchased this lens after reading the reviews. It’s more cost efficient than the Nikon lens. I am a professional photographer and I give this an A rating. The auto focus doesn’t always focus well, but I still wouldn’t bash this lens because of that. I threw this lens on my camera and it upgraded my photos. I approve this lens.

I just received this shot today. Surprisingly the price is amazing. It is better than the lens that comes with the Nikon D3300 (Nikkor 18-55mm and Nikkor 50-200mm). The image is clear. The ability to as low as f / 1.8 allows photographers to shoot great videos/images in low-light areas, and of course you can take portrait-style images/super-focus photos with bokeh and blurry backgrounds. I recommend using Nikkor 18-55mm to shoot/shoot any scene you want to be easy to shoot. I recommend using a Nikkor 50-200mm scene for the same purpose, as well as a farther scene. I recommend using this lens (Yongnuo 50mm f / 1.8) to shoot dynamic lenses that are perfect for moving, changing focus and making incredible shots.

This lens is now the best lens in my camera bag topping other lens that costs thousands of dollars. The focus is sharp, relatively quiet, and the quality tops my highest expectation. And the best part is that it is a true FX lens so looks as great on my FX camera as it does on my DX camera. What an incredible value at under $100. My only complaint is it's styling which is borrowed straight from Canon. The version for Nikon should be borrowed from Nikon brand. I got a lens hood to put in front of it so the off brand styling is not so noticeable. But the quality image that it produces at the rock bottom price, I can't really ding it a star for styling. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this lens. I hope the build quality is there as well being a Chinese brand.

I know this brand based off a few flash receivers I have. The receivers work great so I figured for the price how bad can this lense be? I recommend the buy 100%. Quality in terms of construction is well defined, of course the glass may not be that of a higher priced nikon 50mm lense but I love this addition
