Is the plate compatible with peak design capture v3?

  • The head should take the v3 plate because it’s square but the heads plate will probably not latch to the peak design.

What is the maximum weight limit this can handle?

  • About 15 - 20 pounds. It is very sturdy. Also, suggest a drop or two of 3 in 1 oil for all moving parts. I like it because it flips from horizontal to vertical.

Can you get an extension for the arm? I want to attach a Lanc Remote and it isn't long enough.

  • The arm is permanently attached, that is, it's not threaded for removal or replacement. However, I needed to shorten mine for mounting the head on a "skateboard" dolly, and I cut it off with a hacksaw.       My daughter accidentally snapped the old head of the SLIK tripod we had for years. Given the cost of total replacement I took a chance on this replacement and I am glad I did. This is all metal (vs original plastic) and is smooth at silk when panning and pivoting the head. Great investment!
