Desktop Fish Tank with LED Clock

I'm almost positive the answer is yes, but I can't imagine the fish would enjoy it.. I never put batteries in it to use that function.

I guess you could, but it would be impossible to regulate the salinity, due to the extremely small size. It's barely large enough for a betta, and there is no filtration, just water circulation. FYI, I no longer use mine for this reason. My betta is much happier in the two gallon tank I moved him to.

Sadly I haven't figured out a way to change the filter but when I clean the tank I run the water on full blast over the area where the filter is, which is in the back corner, behind the tube... when empty you can look down and see it through the slats. I do this a good 5 or 6 times or until no more old food /poo pieces come out. I not clean the tank once a month usually unless it get dirty earlier. I have a beautiful beta in my tank and I don't run the water/filter often, maybe once or twice a week and only for an hour or two at a time, this is because beta fish live in standing water in the wild and their finds are extremely delicate, plus the also breathe oxygen from the top of the water so the water doesn't need to be agitated to mix extra oxygen in. A beta would be your best choice as the aren't known for being a fish that travels long distances. Naturally in the wild they live in rice paddies, mainly in Vietnam, where there isn't a lot of room for them to move around much so they are used to bring in smaller areas. Just don't leave the water running constantly, their find are too delicate to handle the constant agitation and they don't require continuously oxygenated water because they breathe surface air. see less
