Can this also be used as an alarm clock?

A
  • I'm almost positive the answer is yes, but I can't imagine the fish would enjoy it.. I never put batteries in it to use that function.

Q

Can you make it salt water

A
  • I guess you could, but it would be impossible to regulate the salinity, due to the extremely small size. It's barely large enough for a betta, and there is no filtration, just water circulation. FYI, I no longer use mine for this reason. My betta is much happier in the two gallon tank I moved him to.

I do this a good 5 or 6 times or until no more old food /poo pieces come out. I not clean the tank once a month usually unless it get dirty earlier. I have a beautiful beta in my tank and I don't run the water/filter often, maybe once or twice a week and only for an hour or two at a time, this is because beta fish live in standing water in the wild and their finds are extremely delicate, plus the also breathe oxygen from the top of the water so the water doesn't need to be agitated to mix extra oxygen in. I hope this answer helps you! see less

I love this thing! Its in my bathroom, where I put my toothbrush and comb and whatever else. the clock is awesome and the entire design just looks cool. I have currently two tetras in there and they love it! The fake plant and the water fountain are really cool, along with the changing LED lights. FAIR WARNING, the amount of gravel they give you is not alot, and if you have really small fish in there they can get stuck in gaps of the side and die(R.I.P. StarBurst). However this is an awesome tank/desk/counter thing and I love it.

Love love love! It fits perfectly in my desk and my new elephant ear betta loves his new home! The only thing i want a fan of is the plant in the middle. I ended up taking it all but 1 of the plant sprigs, it just takes up too much room, maybe if it were moved to a back corner it would be better. For those taking about how its not big enough for a betta, please be sure that you understand the history of where these fish come from as this tank is far better tjan a rice paddy in vietnam. The sound effects are very nice but i dont use them as this tank is on my desk at work.

My husband got this for a birthday gift from his parents, his is a black one, not the white shown. It is way too small to hold a full grown fish, it does make a cute water feater for a desk. The clock works great, and there is a room temp also. It is cute. We're using it to grow a baby betta fry. The little guy/gal (don't know yet) is doing great and the only thing I had to do was put a little filter pad around the water spout to keep the flow from sucking him/her down to the rocks. After a couple of months, baby is turning red now, still don't know if its male or female, but this week he/she will be moving up to a 1.5 gal tank and then when full grown will be in his/her 5 gal home. After the move, hubby is going to just use it as a water feature with no fish, way too small. But it has run non stop for over two months with no problems. you can use the USB wall power plug if you have a kindle or other device that uses the adapter. We have it hooked to the power strip instead of a usb port on a computer.

This clock is amazing compared to other ordinary clocks. It keeps time, temperature, the date, and even has an alarm with nature sounds! Pros: Looks amazing Doesn't leak Has 2 storage compartments Everything works Displays more then enough information Cons: The screen only lights up green, not blue When laying down, the viewing angle is poor, and you have to sit up to read it requires 3 batteries to power the clock you have to plug it in to start the pump, unplugging it will make the pump run at 50% power doesn't display battery life. Overall i love this clock, but I wish that my issues were fixable.

I highly recommend this aquarium. It comes with food, water cleaner, air pump (for bubbles), and a light that changes colors. Although I have only had it for a day, I love what I bought and it is definitely worth the money. I only had a few questions such as, how long the light can be kept on? It looks like you can have the light on for a limited amount of time, so you don't burn out the bulb. I am not sure about the air pump, I would like to keep that on 24/7, but I will look into whether it can only be on for a limited amount of time also.

I bought this tank because I had a little 1.5 gallon bubble for my betta, and I got to reading some forums online saying that's WAY too small. (Although I did have a betta for 3+ years in a much smaller bowl). It's great that this has a filter and a feeding hole and the LEDs add a nice touch. I have to tape the lid down because my cat is particularly curious about the fish inside, but this isn't such a problem with the feeding hole. Maybe it will be annoying when I change the water, but oh well. I recommend this! I would have bought a bigger tank when I got my fish, but they're so expensive at pet stores.

This is a great aquarium but I would recommend investing in a small filter system to keep it clean and the undergravel filter is not a filter at all its a plastic bottom with small holes in it. I honestly haven't figured out the use or reason for it. It doesn't seem to be doing anything extra. That being said the colors are very cool all though I am not able to get the green one, the red, blue, yellow, orange, and purple are very nice and cool to look at plus its enough light to see my fish at night but not enough to bother them like a regular light does.

My fiance and I bought this Fish tank just for fun and have as a guppy tank and we couldn't be happier. the tank is pretty sturdy and the light is awesome. it does have the option of putting in a heater (we already had one) and it also has a filter that seems to work great. this Fish tank would be great for kids or for a college student that wanted a simple pet or basically anyone. I would deffinatly buy this tank again and reccomend it to anyone. especially beginners. you couldn't put many fish in it but it is perfect for just a couple smaller fish.

Okay, I am not the best Fish keeper, in fact I am horrible at it. But, I thought a fish tank would be a great alternative to a cat or dog for my daughter. This tank came with everything needed. I had no problem whatsoever setting it up and getting it ready for the fish. It's it a smaller tank and if you go by the rules you can only fit about 5 inches worth of fish in it (1 inch per gallon). We have 2 fish in it currently. 4 months later the water has not fogged, or gotten dirty and the fish are still kicking! Kind of a big deal for me. The lights still work, the filter is still going. Just an overall easy, great tank! As long as you stick to the fish rules and feed like every other day the tank will stay clean, I only run the filter at night, and your fish will be happy!

Great upgrade for my fancy tail betta. Beautiful view through the aquarium with rounded edges so you don't miss a thing. Very cool lighting with 2 modes: white (day), blue (night) and a UV mode which is somewhat blue in color. I use the white during the day and blue at night. The filter is a bit powerful for the size of the tank and makes a soothing sound. Not as whisper quiet as others had said but I love the water movement noise. Filled it with live plants and a decorative house for my betta Darcy. He loves it!

Pros:When mine arrived I was very happy about the product itself, came with stones, wire, pump, etc. Like the disign and the idea. Packaging was well protected aswell. Cons:The only real con I can think of is the fact that my pump only worked for 1,5 days or so... Everything was fine, then all of a sudden the pump failed. Tried everything to get it working again, nothing helped. Now I have to clean it very often because of algy Bottomline:Good product and really cool for a decent prize. Just pray your pump wont break within the second day.

It's nice looking fish tank, for a room even the kitchen or bathroom but just wnt look proper to add to a living room. Dealt with the company direct due to the power cord stopped working and I tell you as far as the company goes it's a great one with class A and prompt customer service. Two days later received a new cord and light from the company which I'm thankful for.

It is everything that I hoped it would be and the colored lighting is fantastic!! However, given only 3 gallons and rule of thumb being a gallon for every 1in of fish, you can either have a few little fish or a a couple big ones. Overall, I love the product and my fish has had an extremely long life. This is especially good as a starter kit.

This is the best buy for the money. It is just the right size for our Betta fish and you are able to decorate the tank as it is not too big and not too small.

I love this already!! It set up so easily that my 8 year old daughter did it all by herself becauseshe couldn't wait for me to do it! It's not glass - which I love, the filter is sooooo quiet and there is a ton of room for our decently sized goldfish. The hood is awesome as well, and you get a great choice of light colors with nothing more than a push of a button!! Will definitely buy this again if needed!
