Not this model but I’ve seen others that do.
By George on March 19, 2018
yes but you cant use any other face plate with the units. these snap on they are rather poor quality and most do not sit flush unless the box is perfect and the wall perfect

I believe so, I bought it and I don’t regret anything

Yes (By "conventional" I assume you mean something like a regular light switch. Nothing that requires higher amperage.)

They have a different model, KH02CN, sold in the UK and in China, which will work on 220 V and is the square shape instead of the US shape.

Super convenient and easy to install. I made sure the electricity what cut off to the light switches I was replacing. Connected a few wire turn bank one the electricity to make sure a had not messed up anywhere. Screwed everything back in place and connected to my Wifi. Super easy took about 20 minutes . The instructions were easy to understand. Now I can be super lazy.

This is the first Koogeek product that I’ve purchased and I love it. Set up was easy. I have it controlling four flood lights in the vaulted ceiling of our living room. The dimming is smooth and controlled, whether Siri is in control or you are controlling it from the switch itself or virtually from the app. The power consumption feature in the app is interesting but i have not really utilized it to a great extent. For dimming you can tell Siri what percentage to turn the lights on at or when it is already on and that’s really handy. As well, the virtual slider on my iPhone and iPads make it easy to dial in the dimming. If I have a complaint it is that there are not two properly placed screw holes for a two or more gang wall plate. I have it in a double box and only the other switch is holding the cover plate on. Minor detail but it comes with its own cover if you are using in a single box.

Those HomeKit compatible switches work as advertised. Adding the switches to the Home app was easy, and the remote access feature works. I did not even bother to install the Koogeek app. I have compared these switches made by iDevices and Lutron. The iDevices switches are great, fit a standard wallplate, and work as advertised. The Lutron switches require a hub.

I wished I'd read all the reviews here before buying so I knew that it does NOT work with multiple gang boxes/switches. It makes zero sense to me why Koogeek did not build this around an existing standard to fit a standard electrical box. It's proprietary arrangement that adapts to a single-gang box. I've included photos of how I adopted it to work in double gang box, but it's so hack. I trimmed the top and bottom mounting flanges off the switch and then clearanced the hole in the decorator switch plate so the koogeek switch face would fit. A small hole was drilled in the switch plate to access the reset button. Then the front section of the switch was removed and epoxied it the switch plate. The back section with the pigtails was wired into the box. The switch plate / switch front combination was then snapped back into the switch back section, and then mounted to the box. The switch was simple to set up with HomeKit and works as advertised, but I think the proprietary mounting arrangement is complete nonsense.

So far I love them, they are simple to install, I just had to connect the neutral wire which wasn't used for my old switch. I have the room light and ceiling fan switch connected to this smart switch and it works great. When I have a guest and they forget to turn things off I can remotely do it. The app is very simple to use

I tried 3 brands of swithes. I choose Koogeek because it required no hub. It works flawlessly with my Mac network and iPhone. The reason for 4 stars is I installed 2 of these side by side in a 2 gang box and MADE it work BUT they are really intended to go in a single box. You cannot use a standard decora trim plate. Also they only come in white. Another neg is I can't find a 3way. Hope they make one. If so I will be buying a few. Rick , Bend OR

Works as expected, but I have 1 suggestion: it seems it would be easy enough to make it shaped/sized to fit standard decora wall plates rather than *just* the single plate that comes with it. The included plate works fine if you're replacing a single switch with a 1 switch wallplate, but if you're replacing one that is next to other switches, there is no easy way to cover all the switches with a single plate, since this one is a tiny bit larger than the normal rectangular rocker switch size. The only other things to be aware of (which are well documented), is to make sure you have a live and neutral wire (needed to power the switch when it's "turned off" so the wifi still works), and that it only works with single switches (not multi-way switches where you have multiple switches controlling 1 light). Overall, I am quite happy with it, I just wish I could buy a wallplate that would cover it and the switches next to it correctly

Great product and worked as advertised. Integrated right into HomeKit with no issue. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it doesn't fit a standard decora wall plate. If you only have one to replace, it's no big deal, but I was putting it in a 3 gang box and couldn't use it with the existing cover plate.

My husband is an electrician and I figured there would be no problem installing this. My husband had trouble right from the start. The Koogeek Smart WiFi Light Switch doesn't use standard mounting hardware. It's limited to their wall plate design instead of being a universal wall décor plate. This product won't work in a multi-gang box containing other switches which is all I have in my home. Other than this not being a universal product, you can't beat the cost and how nice it looks.

Decent switch, works great with Apple HomeKit. one issue is that the switch is not a standard size for standard wall plates. It comes with it's own wall plate, but if you are putting this in a multi gang box along side of other switches, don't count on your existing wall plate fitting. you'll have to break out a file, and make some room in your cover plate. Other than that, the switch works great as do all Koogeek products!

I just got this today and installed it. So this is just my initial reaction. I bought the two-switch version with some coupon offer bringing the final price to about $35. At $17.50 a switch, that's a good price for HomeKit switches. Overall, installing and setting up on HomeKit was as straightforward as you would expect with any HomeKit device. There are a few quirks, however, which is why I'm knocking off one star. 1. As many others have pointed out, this switch is not designed to fit in with other switches in a multi-gang electrical box. So buy this only if you want to use it in a single gang box. 2. Both switches of the two-switch unit have to be assigned to the same HomeKit room. In my installation, I wanted the two switches to be assigned to two different HomeKit rooms. That's not possible. 3. As are other HomeKit switches, this switch too is bulky from front to back. Fitting the switch in the electrical box requires more free space that normal mechanical switches. Unfortunately, this unit comes with connection wires hanging off the back, rather than traditional screw terminals. This may force you to have to add a few twist wire connectors in the box, further reducing the space you need to for shoving the switch in the box. Otherwise, it seems to work just fine.

This wasn't as easy to program like I thought it would be. My daughter has the iPhone and the Apple Watch and it took a few times to get it to connect, but it kept dropping connection. Not sure why that happened. We tried to use my granddaughters iPhone 7 to try and , it connected, but once again it dropped the connection. We are gonna keep it bcuz it's a cool gadget. We just have to be patient with setting it up. Lol. I live talking to Siri on any device, so that's a plus with this being voice activated. I would recommend this purchase to everyone!! It's not like the switch plate is overly big and out of place.

It is the perfect replacement for my garage door lights old timer. Rather than having to look for the badly translated instructions on how to program the timer, being able to just set an event at sunrise and sunset through HomeKit is great. No more figuring out what and when to do when we switch to summer or winter time, no more going online to find out why and how the old timer does (or does not) what you want it to do (or not do). It has been working flawlessly since I received and installed it. The installation took less than 10 minutes, most of the time being spent making sure the power is cut off. Only complain is the faceplate. The old timer was installed with a second switch next to it, sharing a double faceplate with it. It took a little bit of fiddling to get that one to fit in that configuration. I wish the company would offer solutions on that side.
