this is a data hub so you use it to plug in keyboard mouse, flash drives etc. It will charge things probably but very slowly.

Update: June 25, 2017 The seller contacted me and offered to send me a replacement unit. It took a while to arrive, but I have been using it for a month or 2 now, and it seems to be better than the first unit. I do not hear the plastic cracking like the first unit when I plug and unplug devices. As I said before I really like the design of this hub. I do wish it had a little more weight to it, but it works fine as-is. I have changed my 1-star review to 5 stars. My compliments for the great customer service - they seem to care about the satisfaction of their customers. Original review: In concept this is a great product. However 2 of the ports broke in the first week. The blue "fin" that goes inside the USB plug when you connect it is brittle plastic. The first one broke the second day. Another one cracked but it is still attached. I'm now afraid to plug and unplug devices since the plastic will break off and get stuck inside my USB plugs.

Works as advertised. It's just a 4-port hub for your USB 3.0-equipped computer. The ports are a little stiff but should get better with use. The plastic base does have rubber feet which help it stay on a smooth surface. It would be nice if it was weighted down slightly (or made of a thicker metal.) The blue LED light stays on even if the computer is off (unless it's a laptop solely on battery power.) The cable could have been slightly longer but it's not bad. It's approximately 2 feet. Final score: 4.75/5

I do a lot of file transferring between computers through USB at my place of work. This is a life saver. Let's face it most laptops come with 2or maybe 3 USB slots and with the amount of devices we have they are taken up almost instantly once the computer is opened I.E. mouse, keyboard, external hard drive. If your lucky enough to have a tower desktop. Usually they USB slots are hard to get to and can be a hassle. I found this guy and I couldn't be happier. I keep it directly on my desk and it is so simple to use. The USB slots are spread out enough that getting in to plug in a USB or to unplug is simple with plenty of space. I did attach some Velcro to the bottom because the USB drives stick in it so well sometimes when I'ed try to pull it out it would just lift the whole unit. I would recommend this to anyone looking to expand there workspace. This is definitely a device I would recommend to others it's fantastic and for the price it can't be beat.

Super pleased with this thing! I've been using it for a week now and have transferred multiple large files through it, and it always gets these Monster transfer rates, even going to different drives that are plugged into it! The two you see going down there at once, and both plugged into it and are getting 20+ mb/s almost to 40 mb/s on one of them. It's also really sturdy and seems to sit where I want it to be. It even charges my phone, albeit slowly!

I have an older PC case with new insides and a USB-3 card at the back running W 10. I do a lot of church audio and video recordings. USB-3 is definitely the best access for these large files. With the dodocool USB-3 hub plugged into my USB-3 card and the 4-Port hub beside my keyboard I can load from any USB device to my PC, from the PC to any USB device, and between two USB devices fast and efficiently. It is a nice addition to your PC. It probably works on I-MAX also.

I love this hub, it's small, fast and the cord length is perfect. I keep the receiver for my wireless mouse and keyboard plugged into this hub and there is absolutely no lag time. The lights are just a little added bonus. I do quite a bit of work at night while my wife sleeps in the same room. I used to have to turn a light on to find a USB plugin (wife not happy) but this solves that problem. Great hub for the money.
