These work as well as my Canon flash as far as I can tell. But the recharge time is just a little slower than my canon 450ex

I am a first time flash light user. This model seems to be easy to use, everything is automatic, same as the built-in pop-out light except much wider coverage. I am happy with the purchase. It's a quality flash with affordable price

I use this flash on a Canon 5D Mark III. It works well, and the TTL feature makes it easy to use.

This is the first flash I've ever owned and I'm glad I started with this one. It's amazing for the price. Unless I start getting paid very well for my photography, I don't see a need to use any other brand of flash. I mainly wanted it to shoot off camera with my T3i, it does exactly that and in TTL. Honestly, it's a 400-500 dollar flash for 130 dollars. Flash also works great while on the camera, don't look any further. Get one.

I am a hobbyist photographer. I was to the point where i felt the need for an ability to trigger flashes wirelessly. The choice came down to Paul C Buff Einstein set or Yongnuo. Took the chance with Yongnuo and got entire system. The 2 TTL Flashes, 1 Wireless Trigger and 4 Transreceivers for Canon. Spent 475ish for this purchase which resulted in savings of about 900 vs Einstein. Really worthwhile and takes my learning to the next level. Entire system is easy to use. I didnt even read the manuals. Was able to get going right away. Flashes are very comparable to my 580 EXII and do the job fine. Here is the kicker. For the price of just one Canon flash, entire system came. YN 622 Transmitter and Transreceivers are simple and easy to use. The first order of Transreceivers seemed like used or returned product. So returned it and got replacement. It was easy fix. If you consider yourself upto an intermediate photographer, and are on a budget, just get this system. You will be happy.

Bright, cheap, reliable so far, and TTL works just fine with the Canon 5D Mark III. I'll be buying several more soon.

Arrived quicker than promised and eEquals or surpasses the output of my Canon 550EX. A week after receiving it I dropped the unit on a concrete driveway from a height of 4 to 5 feet. After putting the batteries back in and turning it on it worked just like new! I expected to pick up pieces but the only damage was a few nicks in the housing. That was amazing. (talk about durable) . . .although I wouldn't recommend you testing it by being as careless as I was.

Awesome flash. Made for Canon, but I use it on manual mode for my Fuji Xpro2. Works great. Great quality. Honestly, looks and feels pretty much the same as my Canon 580 Ex that I had. (I used to be a Canon shooter) Sold that one, bought this one and still had a lot of money left over! Get one!

I am a super amateur, I have a Canon 60D put YN-622Cs on it the flashes on light poles, and take pictures of large Antique planes in there hangers. Having lots of fun, all for about the price of one Canon 600ex-rt! since this model supports ettl, and the 60d has the controls, I let the camera decide what gets lite up, and I'm pleased!! Used one at a wedding without remotes and had a Gary Fong diffuser, got some ( for me) great shots. I am starting to understand the advantages of manual mode, but having a flash that can out think me ( no comments please) is very good at this stage!

I am an intermediate/aspiring photographer and shoot manual, but I was never happy with my low-light indoor photos. A friend asked me to shoot her wedding and I knew that I needed something to take my photos to the next level and to ensure that the lighting was right for indoor wedding shots. This flash did exactly that! I love the ettl - just attach the flash and start shooting. Hold the shutter button down halfway and zoom a little for the flash to pick up on what you are photographing. You can play around with the strength of the flash (ex: -2/3) depending on how strong you need the flash to be. The pictures turned out great! It was so nice to finally have no noise with my indoor photos. I even used the flash during the outdoor ceremony because they stood in a gazebo, which made them very dark while the outside lighting was light. I was able to shoot at the back of the audience and have their faces well-lit. Recycle time was not noticeable, I felt as though I could shoot continuously. I set up the tripod and got a group shot of everyone at the wedding at the end of the night when it was completely dark out and the photo came out great. My friend LOVES the photos and I couldn't have done it without the flash. I highly recommend this flash, especially at the price! Note that it is a slave only. Also, I bought the eneloop 4 pack rechargeable batteries and shot for about 6 hours before they went dead. I recommend buying the 8 pack if you are shooting for more than 4-6 hours.

I love this flash! The screen is easy to read and clear, however, it did take me a bit to read through the manual as the English side could use some work. It can be a pretty powerful flash and the HSS works wonderfully. I've also tried it off camera and have only fired it maybe 150 times since I've bought it about a week ago. I can say that it hasn't misfired or malfunctioned yet, so this looks to be a promising buy. I will update in a few months to let you know if I still love it or not, UPDATE 10/21/2013 Since buying this flash, I've photographed over a dozen weddings in excess of over 10 hours each. During the weddings, I use the Canon 580exII that the main photographer loans out to me. I can honestly say that it's on par with Canon as far as consistency and quality of light. I've actually switched the Canon out for the Yongnuo when it was acting glitchy. There is a difference in build quality, but it's nothing that I can't handle, as I'm VERY careful with my gear. One thing I have noticed is that the side battery pack door is starting to stick out a little, and it actually popped open during a reception. Others have had the same issue as well, but I will fix this with some gaffer's tape, so no sweat. I still love this flash. I have version II on order so I can start a 3 light set up. Overall, with the exception of the battery door, no problems. This is a flash on par with the big brands, and it will literally save you hundreds of dollars.

These things are awesome! I own two (in addition to a Canon 580EX II) and wish I had known about these before I spent big bucks on the Canon. I actually prefer the interface on these over the Canon. The four-arrow keypad is much quicker to use than the dial on the Canon. I've used these on camera back, as smart optical wireless slaves, dumb optical slaves, and wirelessly with the YN-622C transceivers in both normal and HSS modes and everything works just as expected. If you're looking to build a relatively cheap bank of speedlights for doing full-sun HSS work, this is the way to go. I've become a Yongnuo evangelist... there's absolutely no reason to spend over twice as much on the Canon equivalent when these work just as well. I'm not so nervous about having these swaying around on a 9-ft light stand precariously perched on a boulder.

I haven't used the flash to much yet but so far it does what it suppose to do and for the price it works very good.
