No ! I tried that and now it doesn't work anymore, it's too heavy for this unit

The Zifon remote only controls the movement of the unit. Not sure what brand of camcorder you have, but I purchased a Canon Vixia camcorder with wifi that allows me to remotely operate the camcorder with my cellphone. I use the remote wifi in combination with the Zifon unit to remotely pan and tilt.

Micro-USB port is to charge the unit, USB b "socket" can be used to power a device, such as a small camera. Use any USB 5v charger to charge yt-260 but note with model we have we could NOT operate yt-260 while charging.

Yes. There is a standard tripod mounting hole at the bottom of the unit.

Is absolutely perfect for mounting my GoPro to - on top of my 10' tripod. I can make precise adjustment videoing my daughter's volleyball matches! Sure, it may not take a direct hit from a 50mph volleyball, but if I get one good club season of recruiting videos I'll be happy.

This is a good product at it's price point. It's important that you understand its limitations, and not set an expectation that you are NOT getting a professional pan/tilt head that can cost hundreds of US dollars more. In my case, I've used it with high tripod to film a ceremony on stage at a high school. In this case, the high tripod and this tilt head can be placed in a safe space, and with the remote control you can adjust the camera pan & tilt, and utilize the WIFI control on camcorder to record start/stop, and zoom, as needed. I was able to get an excellent filming of these type of event. For me at high zoom ratio, the pan/tilt head moved too quickly and doesn't have enough granular control of the tilt/pan speed through the remote control. This not the best, but it's understood, at this price point this pan/tilt head is more for making gross adjustments to keep your subject at or near the center of you camera/camcorder viewfinder. It's not a pan/tilt head for high zoom ratios, where you are trying to track action that might require the head move 90 degree or more (like a soccer game). In this case, you need to control the speed of the pan/tilt movement for which this device is very limited.

We got this wireless pan/tilt unit to put a WiFi controllable Canon Elph in the back of a church during services and allow the sound operator to snap photos or record video during services. The mount is unbelievably quiet and smooth pan/tilt, though a good bit slower and lower weight capacity than the more popular Bescor MP-101. Even with the quirks below, we have found it reliable and easily setup. Pros: + smooth mechanical pan/tilt, though slow and single speed, see below for - + includes smartphone and GoPro accessory mounts + very small, far more inconspicuous with a small camera mounted than competition + included Li poly rechargeable battery, with LEDs to indicate on/off/charging state + USB port allows for attached device to be powered from internal USB Li poly battery + wireless remote includes very positive indication of up/down/left/right button push + 1/4-20 tripod mounting thread on bottom of unit & 1/4-20 bolt on top + camera + pan/tilt only weigh under 1lb, easily used with any lightweight tripod Cons: - lacks USB power cord, no big deal if you have a micro-USB charger or cable on hand - at low zoom the pan/tilt is OK, but at higher zoom (8x and above), the remote control is a bit coarse. OK for photos, not so great for video - can only handle 260grams total weight, just 9oz! - Li poly battery is NOT easily replaceable, but it is possible to desolder and replace - the unit we received DOES NOT RUN on external USB power, it will only charge from external power - very basic documentation doesn't include definition of LED states: red flashing = charging, solid red = charged, solid blue = active signal from remote with power switch on - wireless only operation, no option to connect wired control if preferred - relatively uncommon A23 battery for remote (only $2 or so apiece online) - when put back into it's foam in box, the power switch can easily be switched "On" - when the slip over plate is used to cover USB ports and power switch, the toggle switch is forced "On" We purchased a YT-260 from a different vendor here on Amazon who no longer sells the unit. Some accessories included may differ from vendor to vendor. Ours included a cloth bag for the accessories all in a well padded plain, unmarked cardboard box for storage.

I didn't get a recharger with the unit but as I said in my last review, I had a plug that worked with a recharge device I currently have. I used this this past weekend. It worked well. The operational range between the remote and the rotator is good. I was on the first level of a three story dwelling and it was on the third level and it responded to the remote. Will see how the battery life is soon. It seems a little flimsy, but I think it will hold up. It has Smart Phone and Go Pro mounts. It will hold a regular camera with a tripod fitting within the weight limit (such as a small DVR).
