Can you still have full access to the side ports?

  • yes, the bracket is layed out well with plenty of space to access all the ports.

Is this a single solid piece, or two pieces screwed together?

  • It is a single piece. It is a bit less robust than the more well known brands, but still holds my D800 firmly on the tripod.

      For Nikon d810 perfectly. The only thing that I could complain about is that the waterproof covers on the left side of camera are hard to easily open.
