what is the exact size?

  • 1.5in x 1.97in exact (the grooves in the side make it 1.416in (these are Arca swiss type plates) very sturdy love them

it fit with tripod vanguard?

  • I have a Vanguard ABH-340K ball head (Arca Swiss style) and it works. The fit is tighter than I would like, the dovetail on this plate is definitely a little wider than the Vanguard one, but it does work. I only have the Vanguard plate and this one so I can't say who is at fault for the tight fit.

      It seems to have good quality. It is almost equal to Manfrotto's original and fits perfectly on the tripod head.

      It seems good construction. For bulky chambers the shoe stays small. On a tripod stick it goes perfectly just like a normal tripod.

      Fully compatible with the manfrotto 501 hdv head, it has no problems to work perfectly, good quality material. and bring two screws.

      I bought it to have 2 plates for the same kneecap. It has good finishes and looks quality. It is not practically distinguished from the original Manfrotto, neither in form, nor in the smoothness with which it enters the patella.

      Good operation and very fast release. It fits perfectly to the XT2 handle and you don't have to have the plate screwed to the camera.

      The fast turntable that had been provided with my Bonfoto tripod was of poor quality: the rubber that comes into contact with the case was slippery. So I replaced it with the Andoer PU-50 which does not have this defect: the board stays in good contact with the case. I recommend this fast tray.

      I use this on my monopod and have had no problems with it, very secure and I'm confident my camera is safe when using this quick release. Super easy to fit and as you'd expect, very quick to mount and unmount your camera.

      Swiss compatible, pads grip well, nice light weight. Plate appears to be ally, and the screw is nicely machined from (presumably) steel. Can confirm that this unit does indeed have a flappy finger grip screw, instead of the coin/driver/hex key screws often found.

      Works pretty well to convert my ordinary tripod into a quick release, but it gets stuck sometimes in either the lock or open position, meaning it's not always THAT quick. But for the price, I can't complain. It still does the job 9 times out of 10.

      I bought this to add a quick release to a Skywatcher Star Adventurer mount, unfortunately it is not flat enough so I have used for a different application in astrophography gear to mount a lens and camera. Overall it's a nice bit of kit, it easily converts a standard tripod head to one that is compatible with the Manfrotto QR plates that I use on my cameras / lenses. The plate is a little stiff going into place compared to the Manfrotto plate, but is interchangeable, I will certainly buy this again if I need to convert a tripod or monopod.
