in the course of a move I've lost the instructions on how to install the automatic leveling, can you help?

  • It goes on the black of the bearing blocks. You will need to install Skynet or Marlin firmware. There are plenty of tutorials online you can use.

I am new to 3d printing and i just got a anet a8. this came with no instructions at all. now what????

  • If you search YouTube there are a bunch of videos but basically you need to install firmware that supports auto bed leveling (skynet or something simular), print a bracket and plug this in where your z axis end stop is plugged in.

  • May be DOA. Have you upgraded to Marlin for printer OS? OmniPrint (the original software that comes with A8 Anet 3D Printer does not support auto-level
