ammoon 5.5 Inches Mini Steel Tongue Drum

I play it almost every time I walk past and find the vibrations soothing. I went online to find tuning instructions and am still searching for a good site.

My only complaint is when it arrived one of the numbered stickers was lifted and stuck to itself, but it's a small issue that I can overlook.

Gave as a gift to a family member, the sounds are lovely flowing through the house.

I love how this is made. Its very pretty the way it sounds. Its great to use to play music on and work with the song book that came with it. IT has a nice carry bag you can put it in and take it with you. and a little pouch attatched to the strap to keep the mallets. in. Its great for meditation down by the river behind our building as the pouch makes it very portable. It sounds nice it isn't too loud where it will be disturbing and distracting to those around me. I like it it's fun and even my husband liked it.

 I am a fan of this type of drum and am interested in collecting the different variations based on key. This nice small version is in the key of c which makes it easy to play with other people with in a Western music context. I like to use this in a more meditative way with the idea being tho use the drum as the main instrument rather than use it with other musicians. This way of playing this type of drum allows for its full potential to be realized. I have another one of these in a different key which was fun to pair them together and in turn enhance the whole vibe of the experience. In the video i have included there is a man by the name of McBanBanGambit who plays this drum by itself . This is significant because he actually plays drums as opposed to myself who fakes playing drums. You will notice the ends of his 40 or so sec performance how he hits an arpeggio like note run down to showcase the range of what you can do with this neat instrument. There are mini mallets which are unique in that they have to be that exact design to be fully effective. I tried hitting it with a mallet that was for a 12 inch one and it did not produce a sound- this is strange but very cool at the same time. I like the dark red color along with the multicolored travel case. The case has an intricate pattern style that seems to take from multiple cultures that use woven pattern with heavy usage of blues of different shades. The travel bag also holds the mini mallets inside a small compartment at the very top by the handle section. There are four rubber feet on this, making it stable. I tested this stability by applying a good amount of force to the mallets to see if i could move it. I am happy to say the drum did not budge despite its small size and this is 100 percent due to those small rubber feet. This drum is easy to play - giving you plenty of room to venture into more complacent territory or simply pound away easy notes to meditate to. In conclusion i am very impressed with this eight inch drum by the Ammoon brand which is also a brand i have used before and trust. I recommend this drum to any person who appreciated unique percussion sounds.

This tongue drum is my first and it is a lot smaller than I thought it would be even though the size is in the pictures and it's pretty accurate. The mallets that come with it in its own little compartment is superb. The mallets are not the most amazing thing however the fact that they're handy and they enhance the sound quality is great. And it is the right size for the tongue drum. A little practice and persistence will take you to get a fantastic fun time. The music book that comes with the drum is instructive and has an array of songs. But if you think of the notes C-1, D-2, E-3 and so on, with C' being the higher C, it'll be pretty easy to play any song you want. The placement seems a little strange but I get that that's due to where the certain notes are and how it balances with other notes around it. Keep practicing and when you hit that sweet spot and there's no distortion it just feels like ecstasy! I love it and have a feeling I'm going to end up with a small collection of these! Next, a 15 note tongue drum!

This is a fantastic instrument. It's so easy and fun to play. The resonance of this instrument is amazing. The tone is peace and quite. It sounds contradicting. However, in other words, this instrument provides loud enough sound but you don't feel noisy at all. It comes with a music score. It's very easy to play. Even my one year old daughter plays a good song. There are a lot of nursery songs in this music score. My daughter loves it. It also comes with this fancy bag so that I can carry this product with me. Very convenient. As a instrument, every notes need to be very precise, otherwise it's just a toy. I play violin, so I tested with my violin tuner. Guess what, all notes have precise pitch. You can see CDEFGAB on my tuner. This shocks me. I like it. Highly recommended.

We are able to pick out songs and the tuning was fine when it arrived. I can see where I can adjust tongues for tuning if needed

What's nice about the steel drum is it never sounds bad even if you're hitting it randomly. It's a soothing (rather than annoying) sound if you have someone in your home who might want relieve stress percussively.

I bought a separate songbook for children because I didn’t recognize any of the songs that came with the drum.

This is awesome! Bought for my granddaughter and couldn’t get my grandson and other daughter to stop playing with it so I could wrap it for her. Super fun, great tone, and sound isn’t too loud. Music book is easy to follow to play songs.

I bought this little drum and thought I could play it for fun! It did not disappoint me. The tone is very clear and it’s very easy to learn. Would recommend to anyone who doesn’t want to learn a complicated instrument but still want to make some sound.

It is a very small and portable drum, easy to pick up. This tongue drum is not great for playing with your hands, but the mallets provided are lightweight and comfortable. The sound is rich and enjoyable, makes for a great gift, and of great price and value for the money.

this drum is a great little musical instrument for kids to explore with. I have it on a shelf in a school pod I host and the kids love playing on it. It is well made and finely crafted. The different drum spots all have distinct sounds.

This was a gift for my brother and he loved it. His kids formed a drum circle the next morning with the neighbor kids and they all enjoyed the sounds together.
