one end/side has a flat kind of a hook if you will and it serves to catch, latch and hold onto one of the punched holes-so you can tailor exact circumference fit you need -then it unhooks and you roll er back up.

Nice creased edges (no sharp spots on mine), and perfect for remote canister setups, but can also be used with my little wood burning stove w/alcohol stove option. The magnetic latch is really convenient. If you really want ultralight this is the way to go. If you want something super-quiet that can't blow away, this is not the product for you; you'd be better off with a folding aluminum panel windscreen, which is sturdier and quieter. But if you want sleek, efficient, and ultra-light weight I don't think you can go wrong. This windscreen has everything I wanted, and nothing I didn't want. This product is well thought out. It exceeded my expectations. It works well with my kit, stoves, pots, mugs, etc. My aluminum windscreen gets demoted to the car camping bin, and this one goes into the ultralight bin/pack. Just well-done.

There are magnetic closures fixed together, a space at the bottom for the fuel line and a space at the top for the handle of the pot. It fits in a 6-inch wide can, like the Evernew 1.3L Titanium Pot, which weighs 0.5 ounces. Crumpled on arrival without affecting performance.

Really light I needed to put a stake in it to keep it from blowing away it is light and works it is really loud crinkling when setting it up I get up early so it's like an alarm clock for everyone - the packaging it is shipped in need to be more than a soft pack, coming from China it takes a while and comes dinged up they need to put it in a simple tube to protect it better - that being said I will be treating it just a rough so it will just get more dents anyway.

This is exactly what it appears to be, a super lightweight wind shield. Easy to use and fasten. What I can't tell is how it would do in really windy conditions--it is SO light, maybe you would need to use a couple sticks to stabilize it? But there's no room between it and a pressurized gas canister, so that would have to be on outside... or maybe the canister and stove hold it in place? (I should see if other reviewers have commented on this.) I'm also not sure what will happen to functionality when, as seems inevitable, the rolled shield at some point gets crushed in my pack. Will report back if/when I find that out.

My only complaint with this is that they shouldn't have made the cutout for a fuel line. Anyone could do that for themselves and it would save them time in manufacturing anyway. Other than that, it is crinkly, noisy, and you'll want to get some heavy gauge aluminum wire to bend into stakes to hold it in place without adding much more weight to the whole package (or you could find some twigs to do the same function around the inside edge once you get to where you're going)... but other than that this thing is super lightweight and it works!
