    I have had a CCTV set-up on my driveway for about 17 years. It consisted of an old school B&W camera and a CRT monitor. It finally became washed out, so I figured that the monitor was going. I did not want to invest too much $$ and since I had RG59 coax already run as well as the low voltage power wiring, I decided to go with the Docooler® 8 Inch TFT LCD Color Video Monitor Screen. The quality seemed ok, but the instructions were not very clear. No big deal, because the controls are all scrolling and intuitive. I installed it with the mount upside down screwed to the bottom of a kitchen cabinet, which worked very well. I then realized that the old CRT monitor was still good, because the image was still washed out. Since the resolution of the LCD was so much better than the CRT and because it was already mounted, I decided to keep it.

    I'm using two of these in an industrial application. They're being used as replacement monitors for Electroglas wafer probers. I leave them turned on continuously. All I needed was the BNC composite video input, and they do the job, and were the right size.
