I've been a performing musician for 30 plus years. I've got Martin's and Taylor's in my collection but this cheap Gretch Jim Dandy caught my eye and I wanted to try to gig with it because I fell in love with the way it plays. But I knew I didn't have room in the body to do much of an install. I picked up this humbucker and after having to take one of the clamps off to get it in I managed to get it mounted. I've done lots of under bridge installs but the Gretch is 3/4 so it doesn't have the room to work in the sound hole. I run stereo out of my pedal board to two vintage Peavey Bandits. This sounds amazing through my rig. Way better than I ever expected. Had to do a duct tape mod on the cable. I may eventually solicit the help of my 7 year old to fish the jack in. But I kinda like the rigged set up as it is. This is an awesome little pickup for the grungy low-fi bluesy country style that I play. Super happy with this purchase. Great deal for the price.
