It looks great. I bought it for several reasons. It's not chrome, so it won't bend, the color matches some of the decorations in my bathroom and the shape matches my sink and vanity. The bowl is very small and very shallow. Unless your brush is short, the brush will touch the soap. The unit is not balanced. Unless the razor is hung, the weight of the bowl, the brush and the soap will cause it to tip over. If I can find a smaller soap, it could help. Conventional-sized soap is too large for the bowl to stick. Other than that, it looks beautiful. This is what matters to my wife. Later update: Glycerin shaving soap can be easily melted and poured into a bowl. This is what I did. This gives the brush enough free space. The glycerin soap can be melted in a microwave oven for about 20 seconds or placed in a bowl containing hot water. Do not place the bowl that comes with the stand in the microwave. It is metal.
