I am not an expert on these devices at all. However, with two other soldering irons of different capacities, I can say this is great! I was worried that it might be too big and clumsy to use, but it is not! I found it to be a perfect, very practical size and weight. It heats up very quickly, and the digital thermometer is very easy to use and set up. The quality of the mat is actually better than I expected, and the accessory tools included so far have proven to be very useful. Overall, I think this is a great purchase! So far, my life span is not long enough, so I need to re-discuss this topic, but in general, I am really happy. Thanks!

everything is fine! But the effect is great. It works well so far. It heats up quickly, maybe not as fast as they say, but it's still fast. The prompt quality is good. Make my old soldering iron look useless. Value for money. The only bad thing is the bracket, which is not heavy enough to prevent it from tipping over. They added adhesive to the bottom to prevent this from happening, but then I couldn't move it. I will eventually mount it on a piece of metal to make it stable and portable.

I already own 3 soldering irons. So I decided to find another soldering iron. I just want a good quality and reliable iron with on/off switch and temperature control. I use it for model railways, mainly to weld wires to the track. This is a bit tricky, because if the iron temperature is not right, you will end up melting the plastic sleepers before the solder melts. The temperature dial on this iron looks stable and accurate. The on/off switch is on the handle. This tip is very suitable for detailed work. There are not many extras in this kit, but I am mainly looking for a good iron. It only has 1 tip; a spare will be fine. I like the bronze cleaning pad that comes with it; carbon deposits can be eliminated with a single swipe. I have only used it for a few weeks, but so far I am very satisfied with it.
