We used this scoop on our honeymoon trip to explore the beaches of Florida along the Gulf of Mexico. It works very well! I picked up a pin there to use as a long handle. The wood swelled and we couldn't pull the handle back to fit our luggage, so we went to UPS and transported it home. Unfortunately, we screwed on the small handle and broke during transportation. I contacted the seller to purchase a replacement part, and they immediately sent me a new screw-in handle for free! Beyond! I highly recommend them!

This spoon is very suitable for screening sand on the beach. I went to Home Depot and bought a long wooden handle and a clevis for fixing the handle to the spoon for $10. The first time I used it, it worked well. The spoon is super heavy, I even use it to dig wet sand, bending is no problem. I will buy this item again.
