what proof do we have that this is true RMS?

A

  • I buyed this equipment to measure the charge and discharge current of a battery bank. but when the inverter is charging the battery the DC current always is fluctuating. however the output of inverter is modified sine wave and output voltaje is fixed in 120 Vac and 61 Hz.

Will this measure DC current with the clamp?

  • Yes, its an AC/DC clamp meter (voltage & current). I suggest downloading the manual for its capabilities.

Is there continuity beep in multimeter? May be mine is not working?

  • Yes there is a loud beep but you have to use the SEL button to display the speaker icon while in the OHM and diode select function,it will work

Does the temp probe use a "K Style" connector that is interchangeable with other k style probes?
