Bolany has a version of this for $65 but it's almost a pound heavier. This one works fine with any normal 18-22mm extender. Kudos to the bike shop that put my drivetrain together, I love it! 1st time I have 11-speed, everything works good. Shifts are not quite as fast as a short-medium cage 8-speed but the overall shifting is crisp, smooth, and pretty consistent. Shifts are faster than an 8/9-speed 11-40t with extender (8/9 speed wasn't really designed for an extender and you can feel it in the shifting, and difficulty of covering both 11t and 40t cogs w/o adjusting the shift cable). With this 11-speed setup, it shifts from 52 to 11 all the way smoothly without complaint. It works! So glad I took a chance on it. I'm using an XT M8000 rear derailleur if you are interested (other people have said SLX M7000 works too, not sure). Now I can keep my HG rear wheels and not have to go SRAM XD. Running 32t front chainring, so granny is 0.62 ratio, pretty good for steep stuff.
