Absolutely love this chess set . I just started learning about a month ago and have a cheap cardboard multi game set that came with checkers , I decided to upgrade to something more sturdy . This set is beautiful , the extra queen pieces came in handy . Have played on this set every night since it arrived.Delivery of the item was quick .

I bought it for a family member of mine for Christmas.The pieces are well crafted, they aren’t to heavy but they also aren’t to light! The wood on this baby is smooth and very very sturdy. It folds in half for easy storage and it lays flat when playing. Its not lopsided or uneven. Overall I am super greatful for this set! Thank you so much for the neatness and promptness of this board.

This board is solid but, pieces, even though made of wood, are very light. Two pieces came chipped slightly and the felt on bottom of one fell off upon opening. Overall, I would say this chess board is a great first choice. Its beautiful to look at, you can carry pieces inside the folding board which is nice. While the felt fell off one piece and having a few slightly chipped pieces I will not mark star rating too much since these may always be present in manufacturing.
