will this work for a lifetime youth wave?

  • We use these on both our Lifetime Double, and Ocean Kayaks leading me to believe it will work on the wave as well. The side clips shop connect to the front my connector loops and the back straps should clip to the re4an side loops. Hope this is helpful.

      Extremely helpful for my back while kayaking. However very difficult to secure and set up on the kayak.. I have trouble putting it back on after I get my kayak back out.

      I just installed them..it was much easier than I expected. I realized after installing that I could have cut the straps for my specific application so it would look cleaner. But otherwise it seems to do the trick. I haven't tested them in the water but will soon and update this review.

      Pretty comfy seat back. Installed on my youth kayak for my son, and had to install a couple pad eyes, but it works pretty well. Makes it so he can relax and sit back, when he wants to, but still get in and out through the back when he wants.

      I do rental kayaks and we abuse equipments! The backrest hook is plastic and last me one month! By the other hand it provide lot of adjustment and even that is a small backrest it provides good support! Just replace the plastic clips to bronze and problem solve! If yo are heavy weight (maybe more than 210ponds don’t buy, look for a biger one! Overall its a nice item!

      I used this to replace the very large, stiff, intrusive seatback on my Pescador 12.0. After removing the old unit, this item simply clips in place, and makes the kayak much more comfortable. I've been on a couple 6-mile paddles since then and haven't even noticed the back band, which is a good thing.

      I bought this to install on a small (6 foot) child's kayak. I added a couple of D Rings to the rear of the kayak by pop rivets to attach to the rear clips of this seat (the kayak already had side rings for the two side clips). After adjusting the seat, I had my five year old granddaughter test in in the water, and so far, so good.

      Not very supportive and takes some major adjustments to get it to support at all. I no support is 0 stars, this is a 1 star. I wouldn’t recommend it.
