It might be a little big for him. It's super adjustable but you might have a lot of extra straps. I'd probably go with something made for little guys. My 9YO is wearing this now.

A decent helmet for a great price. My wife and I bought 2. Most helmets offer a color choice of black, white, or ugly, or a combination of those traits. This helmet offers a real choice in colors. We went with light blue. The photos on Tomtop that actually showed the straps also helped in selecting it. Pros besides the color: it weighs less than Bell or Schwinn helmets in the same price range, the harness grips your head fairly well, the ventilation is good, the one-piece padding inside should be more durable than multiple pieces, the separated straps in the rear reduce twisting and tangling, the netting is a nice touch, the chin pad is almost necessary to hold the long strap ends. Cons: the ratchet for adjusting the harness doesn't work as well as others I have tried--it does fine when tightening, but it doesn't like to loosen under tension, so to loosen it, I just lift the helmet off of my head to eliminate tension on the harness; the strap buckles on the sides where the 2 straps come together don't lock into place like they do on a lot of other helmets, but I don't find this to be a big issue in practice; my biggest complaint is that the buckle under your chin gradually loosens over time, so I have to re-tighten it every 2-3 days with twice-daily use. If they would improve the buckles and the harness ratchet, it would get 5 stars. One of the visor mounting tabs on one of the helmets was misformed, but the seller got me a replacement visor from the manufacturer.

Great helmet. I did a long search until find a good helmet for a good price. I bought two units, for myself and my wife, because it was described as universal helmet, but it didn't fit good neither was adjustable enough for her. Better for me that I got with two helmets for me, but I needed get other for her. They are easily adjustable for a men, and I recommend it, but I didn't for a woman with a small/medium head.

This bicycle helmet is made with cheaper materials and sold at a very nice price. Some of the side straps locks don't hold the straps in place but it doesn't really bother me. The helmet still stays in place on my head and it seems strong enough to protect my head in case of maybe 2 or 3 nasty falls. More than that and I think the helmet will crack and break. But so far I'm very happy to have found a cheap helmet that will do the job.

I was very pleasantly surprised. Knowing the range of helmet prices, I really was leary going with a helmet that was this inexpensive. I am so humbled by my order. The "dial to fit" feature allowed me to get a really nice tight snug setting for my huge noggin without much strap adjustment at all. The helmet is very light, looks good, and seems to be structurally sound for when I inevitably go over my handlebars. The front sun visor is crap and doesn't attach well to the helmet. It was an obvious afterthought and I didn't think it was necessary to attach. And, like most helmets, this thing is going to get me through one crash only. The vents are plentiful, but does add to the notion that the thing is going to split into pieces on impact.
