Since it is a two piece model, does it have a break away featurw?

A

  • Does not look like it. The fin slides in from the front and then locks in place with a little notch. Because there's no easy way for it to break away, you should be pretty careful about running it aground in shallow water and potentially ruining your hull if you drill into it to mount the bass like I had to.

It shows two pieces in the picture but says one piece in the title which is it?

  • Its two pieces. The fin slides in and out of the mount.

will this mount on a intex inflatable kayak skeg slot?

  • I have a different model inflatable kayak and cemented this to the bottom. Since it has it's own mounting plate, I don't think it's made to fit any existing skeg fittings on inflatables.

  • If you can attach the female receptor, I would say yes. But it will be a challenge.
