These are great headphones for listening to your favorite media while maintaining situational awareness. I purchased these for three purposes. I like to listen to NPR while I go for long walks and hikes. When previously using my in-ear wireless set I used to have to remove an ear piece when others wanted to converse and I was constantly spooked when people passed me from behind. Now with these headphones I can hear people approaching and converse with others without taking them off. It’s like talking to someone with a TV on in the area. The sound quality isn’t hi-fidelity and kind of sounds muted initially but after fifteen minutes you get used to it. I also find these perfect for listening to YouTube without bothering others and plan to use them on long business road trips while listening to directions and my favorite streaming media. Like other reviews I’ve read, the sound seems to originate from within your head. It’s an unusual sensation but not unpleasant. I’ve found if dissatisfied with the quality of sound for music, it doesn’t help by turning up the volume. It just adds noise due to vibration. Overall they serve my purpose very well. When I want isolation while listening to crystal clear audio I turn to my Bose Quiet Comfort Noise Cancelling ear buds. But when I want to remain aware of my surrounding I really enjoy it. These are definitely purpose built.

So, I have to be honest, I wanted to love these. Many good things exist: they are small, they are portable, and they are designed for running. But I am a multi-tasker with the world's smallest head, apparently, and these are SO uncomfortable for me to use. I have tried them without the earplugs, and I just can't hear well enough I guess. I have tried them with earplugs, and I can hear the audio I am using, but I can't handle it for more than about two hours (and I fly regularly and want to also use these in the plane). I wind up with ear pain where the headphones contact my head. Also, this is the biggest issue, the back of the headphones are like wearing a hula hoop, which prevents me from leaning my head against anything. I recognize that they are made for runners, and I use them in that situation, but because they are so roomy, it is a disaster. I should've returned them, but missed the window because life got crazy. So I am writing this in hopes that someone else reads it and saves themself the trouble - get them, test them out in many use-cases, and return if necessary. Everyone else I've ever seen with these loves them, and I know I am a weird outlier, but I wanted you to know.

Fantastic!! I love these headphones. Bone conduction headphones are pretty much the only type of headphones that my workplace allows, and these are the best that I could find. I work in a factory, and it can get pretty loud around my area. But these deliver enough sound that I have no problem hearing whatever I want to listen to. It takes a little bit to get used to the vibration, but once you’ve adjusted, I think I prefer it.
