I love this little thing, with TONS of sound for the price and size. My 12 year old daughter got one for Christmas, after I saw and heard what hers could do, I ordered 4 more, in different colors for each person in the house. The great thing about these little things are you can plug them in to a wall for power or charge them and carry them around. I also purchased memory cards for each. Loaded music, radio mystery stories and books on them. So NOW, when I am working in the yard I can listen and as I move on to the side of the house which has no elec, no problem. My husband uses his in the garage working on the cars, the kids will use them as mp3 players in their pockets, but when they get around their friends, they just pulled their earphones out and everyone can listen. Then their friends are shocked at the level of sound. The lights are pretty nice also. A lot of BANG for under $15 dollars. Depending on the color you purchase, dictates the price. I have the green, silver, black, red and pink. I have been contacted a number of times on how to attach the waistlet. So I have added pictures on how to add the waistlet, I hope this helps? IF not, contact me and I will see what I can do.

This little radio is a very portable cube, but big enough so it is easy to spot across the room when it is carried off by a child. Which it will be since it has flashing colored LEDs until you learn the secret to turn them off . DON'T LOSE THE INSTRUCTION BOOK, since the controls aren't intuitive!!! Yes, I'm shouting. Instruction book is English words with Chinese sentence structure, readable but with a certain twist. What can I say? The sound is great, the station pickup with that little weenie antenna is great, the volume is good, the controls have to be learned.

I bought this because it looked cool and the price was so low. I didn't expect much, but I am really happy with it. I didn't know it takes an SD card so I was really pleased about that, the FM radio works well, and the audio is not bad at all compared with the crappy quality of a smartphone. I haven't tried all the features yet, but thanks to all the other reviewers for their tips because the instructions are virtually nothing. Even though it's a cheap Chinese product (and instructions) it is very nicely made and has lots of really nice features. A great stocking-stuffer for this Christmas!

I bought around 10 of these for xmas gifts. I use them to listen to podcasts and audio books. I have found that loading the mp3's on the micro sd card are a bit more reliable then the usb stick. If they ever update this device, I would like for them to integrate the capability to retain where you left off, after you power off, but for now I just hit the pause button on put it on the micro usb charger. It will play while on the charger. Another thing I did was put a piece on tape on the power switch, because if you just barely touch it while putting it on the charger, it will reset, so with the tape, I can't accidentally hit this little power switch. I love being able to unplug it and carry it out to the barbecue or whatever and continue listening and not having to use ear buds.

I read the description before ordering it. It kept revealing the many attributes. Everything I needed in a small portable package. And the price was incredibly low. I was skeptical when I opened the package. As I slowly figured out the controls and reading the instructions with a magnifying glass, I got every thing working. Amazing. I learned a few things that are not clear in the instructions. Make sure the battery is fully charged before any other attempts. I used a 5VDC external charger, but could have used the enclosed USB charger. You can still listen to FM if there is no SD micro or Thumb drive inserted. Micros and thumb drives won't work unless they are a FAT format. As a precaution, turn off the power before inserting or removing either. I suggest using small memory devices with just a few artists or tunes. This device has no way to index your tunes and you'll wear out your finger searching. Enjoy!

This little device has been a real boon to me. I can't get to sleep without listening to audiobooks but end up running my computer all night. This lets me listen to audiobooks without leaving my computer on. It's easily portable and even smaller than it looks in the picture. I listen to books in the shower now (put this in a ziplock bag and set it on the sink), I listen to books while cooking, and I don't have to leave my computer on at night anymore. The only negative that I have is that the radio isn't the best quality. Pro Tip: Hold down Menu to make the flashing lights go away... not sure why those are even there.

I bought this as a gadget toy, not expecting much. I was surprised at how functional it is! This tiny cube's rear-facing speaker projects an unexpected high-volume, decent-audio sound. If placed on a nearby desktop, it will reach a very useful volume without distortion. Its FM radio is very satisfactory: I ran its auto-scan feature and it found several dozen stations that it placed into memory. There is a flashing light gimmick that you can turn off by holding down one of the buttons. There's a very short instructional page included; I recommend reading it to learn how to change modes, scan for radio channels, change channels, and change volume. I've not yet tried plugging in a micro-SD card to play my own music. This device is very well constructed, unbelievably so for its low price. The metal front and LCD display are attractive, the short radio antenna works well, and the clear acrylic back is very cleanly attached. This item is useful, fun, attractive, and would make a nice inexpensive gift for friends.

Be', mi è andata bene. Consigliatissimo!

I'd been eyeballing the TT-028s in their various incarnations (TOMTOP, NIZHI, SOLED, etc) for 4 or 5 years before actually purchasing them. The low price and looks intrigued me, but I figured I just didn't need one, given my wide array of portable MP3 players. I was wrong. Even if you never use it as an actual MP3 player, it's the perfect substitute for those AA powered wired portable speakers you can buy in the 10 to 20 buck range. I'd always liked the zip open oblong variety that you could slip most phones inside of. They still serve a purpose, but are usually a bit underpowered. The user interface on the Soled is a little primitive, but perfect for my needs. It displays just the essential info an an LCD screen with a pretty large font, with a momentary backlight. If the LED show on the speaker side of the unit drives you batty (or you just want to squeeze out a bit more speaker life), you can shut it down with a couple second hold on the menu button. A lanyard is included that you can attach, and use to hang the unit from a variety of places. The 4 modes are MP3 player, FM radio, LINE IN, and a time only clock mode....no alarm option. One of the somewhat surprising features is the physical slider ON/OFF switch. I like this for a couple of reasons, but it could be an issue for some. The main drawback is the potential for it to be turned on accidentally while being carried with other items in a bag, pocket (yes, too bulky for most pockets of today), purse, etc. There are obvious physical solutions for this, but some people don't want an added step. A small case or pouch of some sort, or piece of scotch tape to go over the switch in transport, are two basic solutions. A wide rubber band to cover the switch, is another. With the switch OFF, you've got nothing...not even the clock, but it does retain the time in it's memory. I haven't checked to see if it retains the time, even if the rechargeable battery has lost all charge. When you turn the switch ON, the default mode is MP3 player. The great thing about that feature is that it's perfect for podcasts. Being able to pick up where you paused (think of it as a bookmark in a book) is what most people demand when listening to podcasts. If you're listening to a podcast with this player and you pause and power down, just power down in the middle of playback, or if you switch modes, whenever you come back to the MP3 mode (again, it's the default mode when you slide the power switch to ON), it picks up where you left off. The same is true if you're listening to a song. Another surprising thing is the fact you have TWO options to feed this thing music files - an expected micro SD card slot with the spring loaded locking and unlocking feature most are used to from putting them in cellphones and other devices, but also a full sized USB port, which allows you to use any sort of USB flash drive. I haven't tried flash drives larger than 32GB so far. For best portability, the micro SD is the obvious choice, Just remember, it has no internal memory of it's own, which also means you can't transfer files on to it. The FM mode is pretty decent. It's hard to say just how much the tiny retractable antenna helps, but it's certainly better extended than not. Fortunately, you're not forced to use headphones to take advantage of the cord's added reception. The unit can also gain reception from the provided LINE IN 3.5mm/1/8th inch cord. A mini USB charging cable is also provided, and it's great the unit can be used while charging. If you do use headphones (typical low end ear buds included), it is a stereo signal, which many have wondered about, given it's single speaker. It is a strong speaker, and the max volume of 16 (yes, kind of a weird choice for max, 11 would've been amusing for "Spinal Tap" fans) will exceed what you'll need in most situations, especially the radio. I have encountered some music files that were encoded with a low level that required max volume but, in most cases, 16 will be crazy loud, and often breaking up/distorting. Translation - if you're listening to a wide variety of files with varying levels, you'll likely be diving for the volume control from time to time. The player simply looks at the files, and plays them in the order they exist on the source, and numbers them 1, 2, 3, and so on. I believe the TT-029 model, also available on Amazon, has actual track info and even a provision for lyrics. It all boils down to what info was provide when the file was created. The upgraded model is at least 50% costlier....not a major problem with the TT-028 starting in the $8 to $9 range.

It's very convenient. I got it because I have a number of USBs with music on them and no way to listen to that music on the bus, and this device works perfectly for that. There are just three things that are less then satisfactory: 1. At low battery the behavior of the device is very strange, which was confusing when I first received it and had plugged it into charge and was trying to figure out how to make it work. But keeping it charged makes this a non-issue. 2. The lack of dedicated volume buttons is kind of annoying. You have to hold down either the forward or back button to enter volume changing mode, which can lead to accidentally skipping around songs. 3. To turn off the flickering LED, which I find kind of annoying, you have to hold down the menu button. My menu button is a little bit misaligned or something, because it does not always register a hold, or even just a normal button press. But overall I am quite satisfied with it, and none of the less then ideal facets of it cause me that much annoyance.

I bought this so I could have a radio to use while my family and I went to the drive in movie theater. I wasn't sure what to expect because the price was so low. I decided to give it a try because there were good reviews on here. I used it last night for the first time, and can now say that I agree with the positive reviews! The sound was great and the battery lasted for the entire movie. I would say that if you are using the radio to take a look at some of the reviews/questions and answers. The instructions weren't as helpful in getting the radio up and running quite as good as the reviews were.

Amazing sound; stations are non programmable on my unit, however, and simply scan. The mp3/stick player works great as do the headphones I ordered. I use this in the gym for canceling out the overbearing loud "music" (noise) that the gym members seem to like. It lasts over an hour on a charge and charges easily, quickly! Thanks for a high quality product for such an inexpensive price. I just wish the unit wouldn't light up the rear strobe every time it turned on. The menu button, held for a few seconds, will shut off the strobe. It does have a useful function however in that should the wearer fall down or have problems, the strobe can attract attention to passers-by. Good idea. It also arrived more quickly by 2 weeks! Great!

This radio is great for what it is. Best thing in the world?? Obviously not but for $10 how can you go wrong? My daughter (3 years old) loves dancing so I had the idea of getting her something to listen to that wouldn't break the bank. She instantly fell in love with it! She listens to the radio and loves the flashing light! She goes in her room and has her own little raves. Some of the stations don't come through super clear but most do. I placed via auxiliary cord from my phone clearly and with ease. Great product for the price!

I needed something my son could listen to at night but using my spare laptop seemed wasteful and ungainly. This little cube is about as big as a cue ball and has surprisingly good sound! I didn't have a problem loading music on a flash drive and it replays the playlist all night long. I ended up buying a $9 charging block and used a longer cord from one of my old cameras so I could keep it plugged in to the wall all night. The only annoying thing are the flashing lights...they come on when you turn the unit on and off. But they go off easily if you press the "menu" button for a few seconds. I get a surprisingly good FM signal for being so far away from the station tower. All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised and don't regret this purchase.

I didn't expect much from this little guy. I just wanted it to play some music while out in the garage. I got two because the reviews had said the cubes die after a couple of hours, but then I discovered you can plug the power cable into an iPhone plug adapter and it works just fine. It did exactly what it said it would do. The instructions were easy enough to understand, with a little practice. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sound and the functionality. I bought a micro SD when I bought these, and loaded them up with music, so now I have a choice of whether I want to listen to the radio or the micro SD. For ten bucks and free two day shipping, you can't go wrong.

I'm actually fairly impressed. Notes: The USB port will not charge your phone. You can have a line in and listen through headphones at the same time. The speaker is surprisingly clear and loud. Radio stations can't be selected directly, you can only iterate through the scanned and saved stations. The rapidly cycling RGB LED can be turned off, but you have to do it every time the unit is switched off then on. It's smaller than I imagined, it's a cube, about 2"^3 (5cm ^ 3). Its menu has crashed on me, but a power cycle does the trick and it retains the saved stations. All that being said, I'll probably buy another one for my desk at work. It's a good deal.

I bought this on a whim and I really like it. It's got a few issues, but for the price it's still worth getting. GOOD: - It sounds far better than I thought it would. I was really surprised. It's not a "boom-box" by any means, but it definitely doesn't sound "tinny". It's also loud enough to hear with the shower running. - The battery seems to last a pretty good while. I haven't timed it but maybe I'll do that someday when I'm bored and report back* - Even if it's been off for a long time, it starts playing the last MP3 you played when you turned it off - 3.5mm input and output jacks for headphones and connecting to your phone or mp3 player. Nice touch. - So far it's worked with every microSD card and USB drive I've got. (Various PNY, and Sandisks, when properly formatted to FAT). Be aware that it doesn't seem to work with NTFS or EXT formatted drives, EXFAT USB drives also didn't work in mine. NOT SO GOOD: - I wish the little LED light-show defaulted to "OFF" instead of "ON". It's neat for about 2 minutes and then you get tired of it. It's pretty tedious having to turn it off every time. - The FM reception is pretty weak, but the antenna is kinda short so that not too surprising. - No AM reception. Not a huge issue, but it would have been nice. - Having to hold down the next/previous track buttons to raise/lower the volume is kind of annoying, but not too bad. - The time can only be displayed in 24hr format (or at least I can't find any way to change this.) TIP: If you want to create an MP3 playlist, then copy the MP3s onto the card in the order which you'd like them to play. My projector also works like this. Basically every file has a "last modified" tag, which tracks when the file was created in the directory. This player plays files in order of oldest file to newest file. That's not going to help you if you have thousands of MP3s in a bunch of different subdirectories, but it works if you just want a simple playlist. *EDIT 6/28/2015: Mine lasts for about an hour and 10 minutes playing at the default volume level (which is "6", I believe.) Obviously if you play it louder it will last a little less, and if you play it softer it should last a little longer, but an hour is pretty good for what it is.

Defective LCD screen only lights up blank, shows no info. Reception very poor in living room of normal wood frame 1-story ranch house. Waiting for seller's response on return. Build quality otherwise seems good. Sound is good. Seems durable. Update 8/29/14: Received replacement promptly from seller. Everything works. Reception is ok now that I can actually see what channel it's on. Close channels come in, not-so-close fade out as soon as you let go of the unit. Sound is good for the price and size. I like it.
