does it work on a MacBook Air

  • It may be recognized by your Mac but that's about it, this product doesn't came with any software to read or write cards, There's some software for Windows that you can find ( corrupted ) online but for Mac I haven't seen any,. Good luck.

Will this read and display all information on a mifare card or just the card id number?

  • It is supposed to display all of the information, I have not gotten it to work yet. As far as I'm concerned it's a $26 paperweight as the instructions are very poorly translated from Chinese to English and it does not work on windows 10 which unfortunately my computer automatically upgraded and was not aware that I cou… see more It is supposed to display all of the information, I have not gotten it to work yet.       Works as a keyboard so id number is auto entered into a field (i.e. open notepad to test). I'm only getting a 2.5cm read distance with the cards and fobs that came with the package.
