Absolutely Great for the price. I bought two just for more contact switches. Unit is basic but does the job PROs - workswell, simple to install, Panel shows no wires and replaced a existing alarm panel nicely, easy to program sensors & remotes CONs - Remote buttons not recessed (I scrapped one remote and used its case to make two remotes buttons recessed by adding onto existing cases), Flimsy plastic panel hanger causing false anti-tamper alarms (fixed with tape over tamper switch, increased thickness all works normally), External alarm just ok (I used external drive to trigger a full size siren), It would be nice to view states of sensors

We moved a few months ago to a house with an Adt security system that was pre-installed. I was interested in reactivating the service so I called ADT, but I soon found out that I had to sign a 3-year contract for the system, and for basic service, it was going to be hundreds of dollars over the term of the contract. I asked my friend, who set up her own security system, about cheaper alternatives, and she suggested I buy an Owsoo security system because it was cheap and it worked just fine for her. My main concern was that the system was going to be crappy and that I wouldn't be able to set it up without a handyman. I just set up the system today and it works great so far! My only complaints are that I wish it were a bit more intuitive and had another RFID keychain for my kids. I did like that it came with plenty of sensors and worked with my Tmobile sim card, which means that I won't have to pay for special cell service.

Good quality and all features work as they should. The only negative about this item is the instructions - they are written very poorly and unless you have patience and some technical knowledge of how these things do work, then you might have a difficult time figuring out the manual. Once set up, it is simple to arm and disarm. The $5 a month for the cellular messaging sure beats a full contract service by a security company.
