There is a menu that asks what voltage\how many cells and what type you are charging. It won't charge if it doesn't sense the proper voltage for that setting. No calibration is necessary.

Yes, you can.

Yes you will need to buy a.c. cord separately and you may need to buy the wire to connect your battery separately both are cheap still makes it a great buy it come with a power cord to hook it to a battery wich I use a lot cause I fly my drones in an open field

It uses the standard barrel connector. 12-15v 3-6 amp would be best. It's the size that most 12v barrel connections are.

I would suggest you stick with 12 volts I tried a 10 volt cord with a low milli amp and it got flaky the charge comes with a connect to hook to a 12 volt battery I found really handy until I could locate a power cord

Not that I can tell.

I got that too when I tried using just the balance charge port. It finally worked when I used the deans adapter with the positive and negative plugs instead. Perhaps you can use both for the balance charging option.

Ok, You have jogged my memory, I did scab together those two cords. You will need a 12 volt transformer with, I think it was a 5 amp plug. The key is to find the right plug. I have drilled out smaller plugs and made them work off of a 12 volt battery.

Great charger, just get a power supply! It is user friendly and does everything I need to charge and maintain my RC batterys. I highly recommend. However, if you are a beginner with chargers, this is not just a plug in and go charger. It requires educated program selections, which are different for each battery type (Li, Le,liPo, NiCad, NMh, Lead, etc.), as well as voltage and charge rate. I really enjoy owening and using this charger.

Just writing this to say that the AC wall plug adapter that's suggested in the "Frequently Bought Together" (see: LE Power Adapter, Transformers, Power Supply For LED Strip, Output 12V DC, 3A Max, 36 Watt Max, UL Listed ) section is **NOT** compatible with this charger. The adapter plug's hole in the middle is too small for the charger and will not fit. The voltage was right but the plug dimensions were not. Read the product question section and carefully pick your wall plug for this product so you don't end up wasting money like I did.

Works really well for the price you can't knock it. As one reviewer said it has these features, well it definately does not have a battery meter or resistance checker, and or wifi anything. Only balance charging and temp sensor add on. Although it will show voltage of your battery & each cell when charging only. If you want to be able to hook up your PC by USB charger port, and have a battery meter and resistance checker mode then you will need to buy the Skyrc IMAX B6AC V2 model charger. That charger has built in 60 watts power supply and can run on 12v dc as well. Also it has 10 more watts than the Goolrc charger, 60 watts total charge capability. But for the price this Goolrc charger works well. The forward button in first menu does not advance, to advance you need to push the stop button. So little quirks here and there. But it charges & does the job with the 50 watts of total power. Make sure you buy a higher rated wattage 12v ac to dc power supply just in case. And or even better just use your car battery. It is Very Easy to use. I like it & you should buy one for yourself or for a gift. It is extra compact & useful. Heck the charging cables & connectors alone that come with it cost more than this charger does. It has been very reliable too. Last thing, I advise you not to discharge lipo batteries on this charger. Rather than heat up this charger and waste the lifespan of both your batteries and this charger when discharging, you should really run your batteries in your quad/plane or whatever RC thing you own until your lipo is at storage voltage about 3.7 volts each cell. This charger gets some what hot when you discharge your lipo batteries for storage mode so i really advise against it. Heat kills both batteries and chargers.

Best charger for the price hands down! I cannot say enough good about this charger. It balances, it stores, it has options I don't use. Has a cable for everything I need charged. It's 12v and I use an adapter to plug it in to A.C.. no need to spend a lot of money this charger does it!

This little charger is great for charging drill battery packs. It is very picky about its input voltage so I highly recommend buying the proper 15 volt supply for it right off the bat. It brought several nicd drill batteries back to life and is great for figuring out the life of individual 18650 cells.
