There is a menu that asks what voltage\how many cells and what type you are charging. It won't charge if it doesn't sense the proper voltage for that setting. No calibration is necessary.

Yes, you can.

Yes you will need to buy a.c. cord separately and you may need to buy the wire to connect your battery separately both are cheap still makes it a great buy it come with a power cord to hook it to a battery wich I use a lot cause I fly my drones in an open field

It uses the standard barrel connector. 12-15v 3-6 amp would be best. It's the size that most 12v barrel connections are.

I would suggest you stick with 12 volts I tried a 10 volt cord with a low milli amp and it got flaky the charge comes with a connect to hook to a 12 volt battery I found really handy until I could locate a power cord

Not that I can tell.

I got that too when I tried using just the balance charge port. It finally worked when I used the deans adapter with the positive and negative plugs instead. Perhaps you can use both for the balance charging option.

Ok, You have jogged my memory, I did scab together those two cords. You will need a 12 volt transformer with, I think it was a 5 amp plug. The key is to find the right plug. I have drilled out smaller plugs and made them work off of a 12 volt battery.

Great charger, just get a power supply! It is user friendly and does everything I need to charge and maintain my RC batterys. I highly recommend. However, if you are a beginner with chargers, this is not just a plug in and go charger. It requires educated program selections, which are different for each battery type (Li, Le,liPo, NiCad, NMh, Lead, etc.), as well as voltage and charge rate. I really enjoy owening and using this charger.

Excellent charger. No issues, and it even has presets you can create to make it easier to charge different battery types if you have different milliamps. The only thing it was missing was an adapter to charge a TX-60 lipo battery. It was not until I bought the below balance charge board that I could connect the batteries properly to charge them. The charger comes with the correct connection for a dean plug which I was then able to plug into the balance board leads. Just be aware of this going in. You will need to also buy a balance board with a Dean Connector or buy a Dean to TX-60 adapter. Minus 1 star for making me buy an addition part to charge Lipo batteries.

This is a great charger and gives you a lot of information on your batteries, for the money it is the best one I have found. Literally the only reason I don't give it five stars is that it does not come with a wall charger and has no XT60 connector, both omissions seem odd to me given that this is geared toward RC hobbyists LIPO batteries. Luckily I had a wall plug for a cheaper charger that worked and I was able to get a XT60 charging cable delivered quick, with those this thing is a great balance charger and I really like it.
