You shouldn't need any additional adapters. It should light up once it is finished charging.

This little quadcopter flies well in dead calm outdoors, or indoors in a large hall, but beware of breezes--even the slightest wind will carry it away. The 640 x 480 pixel camera delivers better video than you'd expect from a toy, although it has a tendency to drop frames during rapid maneuvering, making for occasionally glitchy viewing.

Nice drone. I bought it for my daughter who is 14 and she was able to assemble it without my help. The drone is flying very high, above my sheds and garages. The battery life is long, kids were able to fly it for 30 minutes without recharging. It is stable enough but not super durable. Kids missed the management part and it hit a garage cracking the drone a little. It is still fine but obviously kids need adult supervision flying it or they will destroy it fast. It happened with our previous drones when kids cracked them immediately managing them carelessly. It has extra parts so blades can be replaced. Photos and videos are clear enough. I can recommend only if your kids will use adult supervision. Wouldn't recommend for kids only.
