This is our first experience with a 3D printer. Initial setup took a bit of work, and we realized the manual we were using was a bit outdated and had to look at the online version. Once we got it set up it was pretty easy to use thanks to some online tutorials. We were missing one part (spool holders) and used the tech support line. They answered quickly and sent us a replacement within a week. After a couple of months of use it's still really great but we did break the leveling needle. Again I contacted tech support and they sent us a replacement part at no cost. Truly exceptional tech support. Great value for a 3d printer. I would recommend getting the Magigoo to help get product off the bed.

This is a fantastic printer IF you do a little research and figure out the details that you need to deal with before they turn into potentially huge issues. Artillery chose to use ribbon cables to run the hot end and extruder. This is great for cable management, but they don't use locking connectors. This allows the ribbons to shake lose during printing and either create a bad connection affecting operation, or they can short out and damage different electronics in the printer. If you print some of the clamps that are readily available on Thingiverse and install them then the problem ceases to be a problem. Right out of the box, print quality varies quite a bit. There are several "Unbox and setup" videos on YouTube that show adjustments you should make before ever turning it on. Adjust and tighten things while putting it together and you'll have fantastic prints. One of the biggest mistakes owners of this printer make is modifying everything they see to "make it better". This printer will give you FANTASTIC quality with only the things I mention above. 3D Nexus (https://3d-nexus.com/) has printer profiles available to download and install for several slicers. Adjust the printer...get a profile for your slicer...and you're golden. Once you learn the printer and how to run it well, there are mods available for it. Different hardware... different firmware. You can modify the heck out of it. Just don't get in a hurry. There is a learning curve to 3D printing. If you set up the machine well, it's more likely you will fail it than the other way round. Keep your machine as close to stock as possible for a while and you'll be able to get higher quality help from the Facebook group that helps support it. Like with anything else you buy, parts can fail. Artillery has a presence on the Facebook page (they are the admins) and they are responsive to pleas for help. I have heard nothing but good comments from people needing warranty parts. The only bad thing is the time it will take with COVID 19 shaking things up worldwide. If you're in a hurry to get printing again, there are several dealers who have parts in stock. If you're willing to buy them, you can get running again much quicker. Prices are quite reasonable on everything that's available.

I read a lot of reviews before buying the Artillery SWX1 and was aware of some issues that people had with previous versions of these printer. The one I received had already solved most, following are some of them: 1. Belts had proper tension 2. X belt was folded correctly and cable ties where holding it up properly 3. Main board cooling fan was relocated to the bottom of the printer to minimize noise 4. Rollers already adjusted, only had to do a minor teak at the bed. 5. Z axis end stop sensor had only one possible location at the right track of the beam support to assure maximum travel distance 6. All ribbon cables were in good shape 7. Bed leveling wheels were big enough and easy to reach 8. Received and extra nozzle, extra screw for every type required and extra ribbon cable 9. Good quality adjustment wrench 10. Improved bed adhesion (I would still recommend hair spray for small parts) I'm very satisfied with my purchase, mostly because it comes from a company that proved to listen to their customers by improving their product constantly. I'm not a 3D printing pro, so far printing quality is good but I'm still learning, hopefully I will be able to get much better results soon.

Everything you want in a printer. Coming from Creality's Cr10 as my most recent printer with this same build volume, the differences are night and day. I assembled it, trammed the build plate, and about 6 prints later, I haven't had to do it again. Your milage may vary, but I have to do this every time i use the CR10. Unlike the CR10, the glass itself is heated, as opposed to a cheap piece of chinese aluminum, and isn't warped throughout in various pits of despair like a creality machine. Took about 10 minutes to assemble, and is pretty straight forward. if you've ever assembled a 3d printer, it's stupidly simple, and then off it goes. In pure masochist fashion, I immediately put it through printing some of my cnc parts with a roll of garbage Amolen wood pla that failed every print in my other printers, and it came out smooth as butter. so i kept going. 3 days straight, no clogs, no nonsense. Big recommend, if you want something that you assemble, level and print with right out of the box. Every other Chinese printer I own required scores of replacement parts and waiting before they would just print, and this is the first that does what it says .

This is my first personal 3D printer. I've used roughly a dozen other printers in fab labs, and while getting my degree. The artillery sidewinder seriously impressed me with the quality of the print, and how quiet it is. I found some cura profiles already created online, and other than a couple of tweaks here or there due to filament it's printed amazing. My only issue is the print bed. When I first got it worked exactly like how it's advertised, great adhesion cools down models would pop off on their own. Now after a few spools of filament, I believe it's worn off some of the surface. So a little hairspray like a normal glass print bed makes it work perfectly. (Note sometimes I don't use hairspray, and sometimes I do... Just depends on the print) Definitely run through and tighten everything up per recommendation on the setup instructions... However one thing no one comments on is the filament tensioning wheel. Make sure that your filament has little teeth marks on it when you change filaments. This can cause under extrusion... Blah blah blah lots of problems if it's not tight enough. My printer this wheel was backed out quite a bit. Still printed just fine, but harder filaments really struggled until I tightened it.

The printer came well-packed and is mostly assembled. The printer comes with everything you need except filament. It also comes with some extra parts and basic tools. The only assembly required is attaching the gantry to the base, attaching the spool holder, and plugging in the ribbon cables (Use care!). I printed a strain relief clamp from Thingiverse to make the cable on the carriage last longer, but that is the only modification I've made so far. Print quality is very good and I haven't had any significant issues with bed adhesion that weren't my fault. The bed is a polymer coated glass plate which works very well. The only down side is that this coating is easy to scratch, so no metal tools. The printer also comes with basic software which works OK, but I have had much better print results using Cura instead. I was new to 3D printing and did a lot of research before purchase which has certainly helped me trouble shoot print the few print issues I've experienced. There are a multitude of YouTube videos and I recommend that if new to 3D printing, watching a few is worthwhile. Overall, I like the printer and have had no issues.

1st, quietest large printer you will find. Hands down. 2nd, crazy fast! If cura says it will take 24 hours, expect it to complete 2-3 hours early! No change to settings it just is! 3rd Auto level is super simple! Manual level, the. Auto level, check the Zoffset and that's it! Works everytime! 4th microUSb and USB! So easy! Plus Gcode already exists on Cura! Price can be a bit high but I'm telling you, this printer will not disappoint!
