This tablet is so awesome and for the price??! Its so worth getting. I was hesitant because the price was so good I thought, "How good could it really be?" But there were so many positive reviews and I desperately needed a new tablet, so I decided to go for it. And I'm so glad I did because this tablet is literally the best. I've never had an apple iPad or anything like that, but I have used my mom's several times before. This tablet, in my opinion, performs just as well as the more expensive options out there. I've owned this for several months now and it's just absolutely amazing. Perfect for all ages. Love, love, LOVE!

I bought this tablet for both sets of my grand kids, to try out my goal of having video call time with them on their own device versus always trying to wrangle the cell phone from one of the parents or getting stuck in a stationary lap top spot the parents "sat" me to hang out. It perfectly fill my need interacting with all 3 grandkids (ages 4-6)--especially given I Amazon bought (& direct shipped) a tripod as well for both of us! Just what I envisioned giving them the independence to move around freely with me--via holding device or hands free. This tablet is just the right size for their hands and small enough that it stands up well to the not-so-gentle handling of little ones. Ha.

I've purchased a couple different tablets The first two had me driving to a return center. This one is barely acceptable. Here's the deal, EVERY tablet I've purchased that say "Sold and shipped by Walmart" arrives with some sort of negative issue. I'm guessing, they are all "refurbished" tablets. This particular one is missing certain settings and options in different menu screens. Also, the touch screen is not the best or most accurate. My tablets before this and after this, ALL do things, this tablet CANNOT do. I find that very odd. Check out EVERYTHING before you spend the time downloading stuff on it, especially personal stuff, that way you don't have to reset everything before you return it.

I just bought this to replace my old Nook eReader. Since I hadn't used it in a while, I gave it away and started using my iPad Air 2 for reading ebooks. However, the iPad is bulky and, in spite of being an "Air" model, its a bit heavy to lug around. And, as with any Apple product, eventually the battery life becomes ridiculously short. This Galaxy has been a lifesaver. Because I can add extra storage, I can easily sideload a bunch of ebooks I've acquired over the years but haven't had a chance to read yet. The battery life is amazing, the tablet is lightweight and, because it's a tablet and not a reader dedicated to a single company, I have the Nook, Kindle, Kobo and Google Play apps all working well in once place so I can choose my next book from whichever library I want. I Intentionally disabled the notifications for email and did not download any social media apps or games to minimize distractions. (That's what the iPad is for). I'm very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this to anyone as an eReader. This was a great solution for my dedicated reading experience.

This is a great budget tablet! I only use it for YouTube and web surfing and it's been working great for me. It doesn't have the sharpest screen like the retina display on a macbook but it's still pretty darn good, WAY way better than a fire tablet. Touchscreen responsive is quick and it has an overall good battery life. I did wish both sides had speakers... only the right has speakers so that could be an issue to some people. I use mine with a bluetooth headset so that's not really a problem. Overall, I'm super happy to have bought this tablet at affordable price and if you have simple needs like mine, I'm sure you'll love it too. Pro tip, don't use the chrome browser, use the native Samsung internet one as it's made for it; reliable, faster, and simple.

This is a great budget tablet! I only use it for YouTube and web surfing and it's been working great for me. This tablet is replacing a first gen Galaxy tab. It was a great tablet but time has taken it's toll and it was time to replace it. I have a 2017 Tab A and love it so this one was for my wife. . This is a great improvement over the 2017 version. Both are running Android 9.0 smoothly. Battery life on both is amazing (we charge them 1 or 2 time a week and they see 4 to 5 hours use daily). Screens are also amazing. This tablet ups the stakes with the return of auto brightness setting and what appears to be a better camera setup (the reality of it is that both have pretty good cameras for a tablet) Samsung also did away with some of the bloatware (THANK YOU SAMSUNG!!) They got rid of that stupid Bixby home thing (I finally was able to disable it on my 2017 after the latest Android update). There is some other bloat ware that was also not included (like half a gig worth!) Speed for both is the same. Now there are some steps backward. They moved back to a micro USB charging (the 2017 had USB C) and the speakers are not as nice (in real world performance- no idea on the spec sheet). Also they removed the physical home/back/list buttons from the bezel and put a virtual back and list button on the screen space. THe home button is gone completely and you have to use the power button now (A HUGE step back!). With the buttons gone now the bottom of the tablet has this 3/4" bezel at the bottom that does nothing but make the tablet longer than it needs to be. Bottom line this is a great tablet. It is fast, powerful and with a micro SD card installed has a ton of storage. At the current price (under 0ne hundred and twenty bucks!) it is a steal.

I gave this tablet a 5-star rating because it works as advertised. I knew what kind of tablet I wanted and this certainly fits the bill. I wanted a simple tablet for surfing the internet; reading the news; keeping notes and my calendar. It is also good for social media video chatting on Google Duo or Facebook Messenger or Zoom Etc. The 8-inch screen is perfect for me. Much easier than using my cell phone. And easier to carry around than a larger tablet. This is not the tablet to do a lot of advanced or professional graphics. The battery life definitely is good; the touch screen works very well; and if you are Android phone user this will seem like an old friend. The speaker work OK but not really loud. Get a small Bluetooth speaker or earbuds if you want to listen to music. Make sure to get yourself a nice case to protect it and to provide you with a better grip. I suggest the Moko lightweight case which is under $10. The Amazon Fire HD tablet is nice as well but I wanted the full Android flexibity. So overall, this is a great entry level tablet for general use. The price was fantastic. And on the second day, it upgraded to Android 10. I recommend this tablet.

I got this tablet for my grandma so I can video chat with my grandma when she goes back home. It works like a charm. It's easy to use, small, and efficient. I love that it's up to date, so I don't have to worry about the next update being supported by the device. It was easy to set up, and she loves it.

Just got this yesterday in mail... Loving this tablet so far! Im old school and have only had 7in tablets. I like the mobility and ease of 7 inch tablets. I'm not tech savvy... And tried to research good tablets as best I could. I don't see how this tablet wouldn't suit as a solid budget option. It's speedy without lag as I go from email to games to video apps. You can't go wrong getting or gifting this tablet. I'm sure there are more powerful tablets out there... But for basic needs and purposes, this is great. I'm certain the 10 inch version for $50 more would be just the same. Comes with the new Android 9.0 Pie version and you also get future updates. So if you are out of the loop on tech or perhaps an older person looking for an easy budget option... I highly recommend. Only had one day... Will provide updates.
