I had considered purchasing a projector of some type to be able to transfer designs to royal icing cookies, but kept hesitating at the price. Basically, I just needed something to make transferring designs easier than using paper and edible marker. This is perfect. I can get enough detail to sketch the outlines I need on cookies or fondant (flat designs - it wouldn't work for, say, the side of a cake.) I've used it with both my phone and iPad (for larger images). Just reverse the image on your device if directionality is important. It's not fancy, but it's a simple solution that just makes my life a little easier.

Giving it five stars because for the price paid it does exactly what it states: it reflects an image from your phone for you to trace. The image is not going to be crystal clear for fine details and if the image is too dark you will not be able to see much detail at all. Ambient light in the room will also affect how much you see. I don’t recommend this for kids because it takes patience to get the knack of using it.
