It's meant to sit on the dash board, not to be mounted anywhere. The fold down aspect seems to have been designed just for this. If you want to mount one somewhere, then you should probably consider a different design.

The device automatically switches to display information from the powered device (as it will be providing a signal). However, if both devices are providing a signal, you will have to unplug the device you do not wish to use from the monitor's video cable in order to display the information provided by the other device.
