This pickup actually works and sounds very good. The only drawback is that the pickup extends 7/16" above the soundboard. If your action is nice and low, the strings will barely clear the top of the pickup. Measure from the top of the soundboard to the underside of the strings and make sure you have at least 5/8" or more clearance or else the strings will hit the pickup and buzz/click when you are playing. I have a Luna Safari Extreme 3/4 size guitar and this will not fit under the strings. I actually mount it parallel to the strings at the upper part of the sound hole. Not ideal, but it does pickup the sound pretty good from the soundboard.
