Yes it does.

I believe its 2.2 MegaOhms. The amp/eq is really good, but the piezo is terrible. Get some CBGitty piezo and you will have an amazing set.

I built mine into a cigar box guitar. Worked well with a guitar type amplifier. Maybe there is a problem with your cable, or an impedance (sp) mismatch in your amp input.

Yes. It will pick up any vibration, even your fingernail scratching the side of the guitar.

I laid it against it in numerous locations until I found the closest fit to the contours of the guitar. Then I made small reference marks on the guitar. I started tight and shaved the opening a small amount at a time until it fit snugly in place. Once you've scored the guitar a couple times, in most cases it will cut through quickly, as they are extremely thin. I would be happy to share pics and or a small demo. Also, don't forget that this pickup fits beneath the bridge and is quite fragile. Most bridge pcs can be removed easily and held firmly against a belt sander or block-planed and finish ground back to height with a block or even a concrete driveway. With the addition of the pickup, you want to finish at the original ht as closely as possible. Thanks & Good luck! see less

Phantom power is not required. It run off of a 9 volt battery and has it's own pre-amp built in..

Yes it comes with a piezo pickup for under the bridge and works great

I've used this on two Classical' to date. The first was on an old Applause by Ovation, the second was on a Guitalele (Yamaha). In both cases, the Pre-amp and Piezo worked fine. Remember to measure your saddle height before installing, as you'l need to file or sand the saddle after installing the piezo back to that height. see less

I am not an expert, but if it worked for my steel string dreadnaught style guitar it should work for a classical style guitar.

I needed to replace the preamp in my acoustic bass and this was very close to the one I was replacing. This is a very common unit in many 6 string and bass acoustics. This is an easy install if you already have a pickup in your instrument. If you are installing this in a acoustic only guitar, be very careful. There is no template for the preamp unit so there's a good chance you'll damage your guitar if you're not careful. Using a XACTO knife and thin cardboard. make your own template. This is not an install for a beginner or someone not comfortable with taking a saw to your guitar. Sound quality is good. Make sure the saddle is completely flush with the pickup in the slot and shim the saddle if it rocks back and forth. You also need to sand the bottom of the saddle to make up for the thickness of the pickup or your action will be too high. The more effort you put into precise saddle adjustment, the better the outcome. The sound will be clean, even level across the strings and the action will be unaffected.

This acoustic pickup system is great for the price. The eq is very useable and it sounds nice. Instalation is pretty straight forward but there are a few things you have to watch out for. The first thing I did was to cut the heat shrink off of the transducer. This was for better vibration transfer between the saddle and transducer. The rubber heat shrink acts as a damper resulting in a thinner sound. When you file your bridge saddle down make sure it is dead flat or you will have a string or two thats not as loud as the rest. It is a piezo system so even pressure has to be applied across the transducer. My A string was a bit thin sounding, this was easily fixed with a piece of aluminum tape stuck under the saddle under the A string. It will take some time and patience to get all strings even. I also dont care for the output jack that came with the system. I replaced it with an end pin jack designed for an acoustic. Using the jack that came with the system would have been very unprofesional looking. All in all its a great sounding system at an unbeatable price.
