Can be used as a midi controller or controlled by a midi controller. I was able to scroll through patches on an Eleven Rack with no programming.

you can download other 7 IR from the website in the Manual Book. it is ok to download 3rd party ir's from other site, and you need to change the format as the IR inside.

Not true.what are the most important things to remember about this sort of device is that it is and has an Impulse loading feature! personalized do not care for the impulse response which are included I imported celestion and ownhammer Marshall 4 x 12 cabinet impulse responses pacifically v30s and cream box! Huge difference in the tone! Rave reviews from every sound man we utilize. Anthony

I am using Tech21 FlyRig5 for couple of years, mainly during my rehearsals in studios, since I really don't want to deal with different kind of amps and stuff. I have even used the FlyRig in some live events where the stage is small to use my 2x12" cabin. However, FlyRig lacks in some points, where Cerberus shines. Couple of advantages of Cerberus: - It has analog overdrive and distortion units - Dirt and modulation effects are separate, and you can connect the unit to your amp directly or by 4-cable method (the overdrive and distortion can be in front of the amp and the modulation effects can be in the fx loop) - The tones created can be saved to presets - It has a cabinet simulator, and you can load different cab sims via IR loader, very handy - It has a built in tuner - It has a boost option (after the dirt part), which means that you can cut through mix during solos. The only part missing for me is a compressor, but it's not a deal breaker, it is possible to throw a pedal in front of Cerberus. To sum up, it is a great effects unit for rehearsals and small gigs, where you can connect directly to mixer. It is also great with amps.
