This pedal sounds awesome! The sustain pot runs from about 7 to 5. It can do a very smooth fuzz/distortion with the sustain at 7-8. At about 10 or 11 you are in Gilmour territory. I usually find Black Keys about 12 on the pot, and Smashing Pumpkins are around 1 or so. The distortion is so heavy beyond that I don't find my self dialing in much over there, but I am looking for indie rock and classic rock tones, so I don't have much use for those settings. I find my self using the pedal somewhere between the Gilmour and the Keys, maybe in Gary Clark Jr. territory. I find that unity volume here is around 10 o'clock, so if you are going to use this as a lead guitar tone, you will have to remember your settings.

This is my first Mooer. This pedal does not disappoint in any way. Creates the most creamy, beautiful fuzz tones. Distinctly dark, I haven't found it useful as a low gain overdrive yet, but I'm still fiddling with settings. In conjunction with my Xotic SP compressor, the Triangle produces some stellar sounds. Small footprint, light and looks reasonably well built - and I can't testify to its durability but I'd be careful using this live. I play only from bedroom and it's perfect. What's really remarkable about this pedal is its sensitivity to string attack. I can play it completely clean, but when I dig in, it produces delicious snarl. The sensitivity is a real plus.

This is a good sounding Big Muff clone, is quite compact, runs on standard 9vdc, and at under $50 is very nice for the price. I took mine apart. Here's what I found. The small size is made possible by using all surface mount passive components, and some meticulous hardware design. The transistors are Motorola 2N5133 NPN, essentially the same as used in many of the early 70's EHX Big Muff units. I was interested to see whether this (and the other Mooer pedals in this product line) were DSP simulations. This one is definitely not. A boutique builder is going to pay $6-10 for just the vintage transistors in this pedal. So there it is, a true analog clone in a very small package. I gave it 4 stars. It's one of the most affordable Big Muff clones out there, and sounds authentic. It won't take much space on your pedal board, but you might try to protect those knobs as well as you can.
