Is the filter mode on this pedal comparable to that of the electro harmonix electric mistress?

  • Yes, it is like the freeze on the EM. This pedal captures many of the EM's tones including self-oscillation when cranked.

Why does the high end of the color control create frequencies in the amp in bypass mode if this is true bypass?

  • I don't have a unit with me so I can't test but the manual does say that the unit can create an oscillator tone when the color knob is turned up and is normal. When in oscillation the pedal is creating it's own sound. I would think this would only be an issue if you leave the pedal in oscillation. Otherwise the pedal isn't creating any of it's own sound and nothing to bleed into the clean signal.       I really like this flanger . There are a bunch of flangers out there and i could have any or all of them and I am very happy with this very small pedal and a very sweet price with such very nice sound. I have to look no further. Thank you Mooer @nd of course the seller for keeping the price better than reasonable.

      This little thing is cute as hell and sounds killer. A very good reviewer (Bjorn at gilmourish.com) says that this inexpensive little box is pretty much as good as the EH Electric Mistress. I think he is right. The Mistress is so damned big I would never want it anyway. I only use just a little bit of this effect. I set the color around 9-9:30, the range to 0 and the rate to about 2:30.

      Absolutely fantastic clone of the classic EHX Electric Mistress. I own a new EHX Deluxe Electric Mistress XO and the ElecLady sounds more like the classic tones I heard on Pink Floyd's Animals. Only downside is that it does not take a battery, but at this price I'm not complaining.

      Got this because I didnt want to shell out the $$ for a Deluxe Electric Mistress. Got that Gilmour sound I was looking for with this one. Great little pedal. Very sturdy. Nice range of sound. I am not a rock star, touring every night, but for any home guitarist who plays a few gigs now and then, this pedal is awesome.
