My son loves unusual or instruments that are new to him. He played it the first day and I must say it made a very soothing sound, but there was one thing we didn't expect ...... The quality of the instrument and the case is excellent! That impressed us. The whole package was very impressive!

For all who read (or write) these reviews and think that the instrument is defective, read on. In fact, the instrument can be manufactured correctly and function properly. The first thing you should know about hulusi (and bawu, this is very similar, but it does not have a drone pipe) is that technically they are not flutes. They are REED wooden wind instruments. Regardless of the hole you open or close, both instruments will only play two soft notes. That is, if you don't work too much on them. These are called "underblow" notes because they only appear if enough air has not blown into the instrument to vibrate inside the reed. They are legal notes and should be part of the range of the instrument, but you can reproduce more notes. Now, if you only play HARDER, the internal reeds will start to vibrate, and then you will find that the finger holes should work properly, so that more sharp notes can be played. The reeds in these instruments are very similar to those of harmonics or passageways, but they are larger and heavier, so they need more air pressure to vibrate. In short, if you blow a pumpkin or any other foil instrument, you should immediately recognize when the inside of the foil starts to vibrate, and then you will find that the finger holes work properly. Don't give up You can do it Good luck to everyone.
