This is a good quality replacement neck. For those of you who are not sure what that means, here is a quick overview. On my neck, the truss rod was installed correctly, the tuner holes were aligned and drilled straight, the fret markers were good, and the finish was consistent. The frets needed to be leveled and dressed, and the plastic nut is cheap. To put this in perspective, i have bought necks from most of the big builders including Warmoth, Mighty Mite, and Fender. Every one of them required the same amount of work that this neck needed to be functional. So your $300 Warmoth finished neck will also need the frets leveled and dressed, and the nut installed and adjusted properly. This neck is a steal at under $40!!!! I have put it on a les paul bolt neck telecaster, and the guitar resonates and sounds great. To show that i put my money where my mouth is, i also purchased 2 more of these necks for future projects.

I give it 4 star because about 4 fret was a bit higher then the rest so I have to lever them and then crawn them. If you know how to do this it won't be a big deal. For this price I can't really complain compared with the 200 dollar for the one from fender company. Other then this the neck was deliver fast and with no damesh it all. If you buying this neck to upgrade your fender squire like I did, be aware that this neck it's about a 1/8 thicker and you are gonna have to do some trimming to make it fit in the body. Not sure if this apply to all fender squire but it did for mine wish is a fender squire 2 1990. Good luck!

You will have to shape the heel to fit the pocket, of course, that should be expected with any replacement neck. Also, there are a couple of high frets causing buzz on mine. This too can be remedied fairly easily. The frets above 18 or so start getting slightly jagged, but I don't typically play that high so its not a big deal for me. This neck did give me more sustain and improved the overall tone. It really brought out the low end like I hoped that it would. The only other thing is that I will eventually replace the nut that came on it with a better one. Finally, I would recommend it to anyone wanting to replace a Squier neck, but the neck on my MIM is much better than this(in terms of finish and fret work), and I wouldn't even think about putting it on anything more expensive than that.

Fairly happy with the neck. It was a little too flat and I've loosened the truss rod to get a little relief. Still had to run string height a bit higher than I like in order to keep the first several frets from buzzing. Hoping the loose truss rod will allow the neck to bow a little more over time and I can adjust the setup to be a little faster. Fret finish better than I expected.
