    I love the African culture, especially their music, and wanted to learn more about the instruments the tribes use in the remote areas of Africa. I bought this Mbira after seeing a Mursi tribe boy playing one on a documentary. I thought it sounded beautiful, and just knew I had to experience the sound in person. There are "professional" Mbira's on the market today, but I don't believe you have to purchase one of them at high prices in order to enjoy the magnificent tones this instrument produces. I highly recommend this Mbira. It can easily be tuned and is very portable to carry around. Forget about western musical instruments for a change. Get one of these, and experience the African culture right in your own home.

    it's easy to tune and play. the paint job could be better, but the wood feels sturdy enough. also, some notes make a buzzing sound, but it can be fixed by adjusting the tines a bit. the tops of the tines are kind of sharp so i had to put tape over it because i already cut my hand once. overall it's cheap, fun to play, and sounds great!

    This thing is fun. Seen one in a movie and decided to give it a try. I always wanted to be musical but the only thing I could play was my stereo. I now have hope if even only for self entertainment.
