Only if you do the centigrade to fahrenheit conversion. It measures to about 120C, which is 248F.

You can use an accurate thermometer and place both the sensor and the thermometer in the same controlled temperature area (use the digital controller to control the temperature) near to each other. If the sensor and thermometer are not at the same height you may get some temperature stratification, ie the top of a heated container may be warmer than the bottom and likewise the bottom of a chilled container may be cooler than the top. Then read both the display and the thermometer. The difference will be what you have to add or subtract from your display reading using the calibration settings. I have multiple thermometers, some are accurate at lower temps (60 -80 F) but are off at higher temps, others are more accurate at the higher temps. You also have to look at the parameters that you set for the controller to make sure that it reads within your selected settings. see less

Digital thermometer and thermostat in one - Among other things, for cooling, - Climate, - Cook u. Back devices as exchange or modernization or retrofitting, also suitable for the car use. From other major providers for the four-fold price and more offered- (the same part!) - So just one more for replacement ordered - anytime again!

The price is certainly very low. During the purchase I didn't realize that it didn't have an On / Off button so I only used the temperature probe, while as a thermostat I used a used one that I had. However with a little extra money there is also the version with an On / Off button.
