I wish I could attach a picture of mine to this comment. The front little pen hole has a set of 5 regular size Sharpie highlighter in it, they stick out about a quarter of an on from the top but if I were to stand the highlighter straight up next to the tank part the actual height of the whole tank is about 1/2 inch … see more I wish I could attach a picture of mine to this comment. Yes this does not have a heater. I had difficulty keeping ghost shrimp in here. They kept dying. I have a betta in there now and it has been doing well.

Its smaller than those dimensions. I don;t use it any more because it was to small.

The description is accurate but that's not all for the water. The water is approximately 2/3 of that. Not a lot of room for anything that requires room to swim. Betta fish are about the only that I know of that uses such a small space as it's habitat. I love this aquarium!

Got this for my boyfriend, he loves fish tanks! He’s always had fish and I stumbled across a desk-sized Fish tank from another retailer, and loved the idea! When I went to buy from Other retailer, it was nowhere to be found! So I checked here of course, and I did so much thorough research for the best one and this is it! My boyfriend LOVED it and has a little fish named Midnight in it. Note: not practical for more than one fish.
