Thought it was kind of flimsy, but put it outside unprotected in front of my porch. Despite other things falling over on the porch due to a windy day, this didn't budge. I had a lot of weight on the bottom, I am sure that helped. Nice not having a disaster. Yes, the plastic cover did rip along the zipper line, but I haven't found the cover to be very helpful in keeping things warmer than ambient, even with a heating pad as someone else suggested. All and all, for the price, it is a nice shelving unit for plants.
