    Each tool has its own purpose and does its job well. The big rasp makes quick work of the callused skin but leaves the skin too rough. That's where the medium metal file comes in to save the day. It also does a great job leaving the skin smooth.

    Great kit. Beware though, the callus grater tool is very sharp and you can easily overdue it and get down to tender skin very quickly. Otherwise, my feet are so soft.

    These worked absolute wonders on my heels! The one that looks like a cheese grater was so effective and shaved all the nasty callous and dead skin off so quickly, though it is very sharp so I suggest using it gently and cautiously. The others in the package really don’t seem to do much outside of buffing but it’s nice that they gave you extras for those sensitive spots. The star is for sure the cheese grater looking one though, my heels feel like a toddler’s.

    I got this kit so that I could give myself a home pedicure while salons are closed, and it is fantastic! I keep my feet dry, rather than soak them in advance, and use the smaller metallic file (NOT the microplaner) on particularly stubborn calluses and flaky skin, followed by one of the pumice-like files to smooth things out. As other reviewers have mentioned, the dead skin does fly, so doing this over a basin or in the bathtub is a good idea. My feet are now soft and sandal-ready, and the implements clean very easily after each use with some soap and water. Definitely recommend.

I cannot stress this enough. Use good light and common sense. Be gentle in the beginning, while you get used to the foot scrubber and work your way up. I love the value of so many different ones with different textures. I would recommend and buy again.
